Report of Wharf inge'r for month of February.
Report of Poundmaster for month of I.Karch.
Report of Police Judge for month of March.
Chief En-ineer Eorwege filed a report' his survey through
the lands of C. Beek and the P. & S.R. Railway C.o. Filed.
City Attorney Hall reported that there are no abstracts
available in the matter of the property on Payran and Ellis Streets.
'No action taken.
Clerk presented affidavit,s for posting notice inviting sealed
proposals and also the publication of same, in the matter of
Webster Street improvement. Also affidavit of publication
of," Ordinance 149 and 160. FILED.

Whereas Council of the, City of Pe't'aluma' di.d in open session on she
3rd day of April, 1916 publi open, examine, and declare all
sealed ptopasals 0 bids for doing the f&116wing, work in said City,
to wit
The improvement of 'Nebster Street 'form the West line of Hayes Aven.-
ue to the Southeasterly line of the Hillside Tract. The council
rejects all of said porpozals or bids except that next herein
mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and
improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, td wit:
Sylva and Wood at the prices named in their bid.

Property owners on Park Avenue 1 paked �the Council. to place a
fire hydrant. on that' street. Referred to Board of Fire Commission-
ers.
Clerk was directed to notify the members, of the. Park Comti:ssi,on-
ers to-,meet with the Council in an Adjourned meeting to diacus"s
tatters relative to the Driving Club.
Councilman Torr called attention to the fact that some of the
equipemen.t belonging to the hook and ladder truck purchased by the
City was missing. Matter was referred to the Chief o Police to

A representative of the Standard Oil Co addressed the Council
relative to us'lng a, new -material on streets called liquid asphalt
Same was discussed without action.
The Clerk was direc'ted to cancel policy for $1650. on the City
Hall and to wit the payment of premium on same, vitlaq
(In A motion by' Young seconded byEealey, the City Engineer was
authori,zed to pre a sewer map of the sewers of the city for the
future use ,of the City Officials. Carried -and so ordered.
The property owners on Breman Street who have not already laid
cement sidewalks as previously reo,'ue are given fifteen days in
which to do the work. If not done the City will proceed to order
said work done under the Street law.
Mrs. B. Clark addressed the Council protesting against the
establishment of t"he -rade on High Street. Protest was upheld by

Mrs: Clark asked the council to have the blasting discontinued near
her premises. Sane was taken ender adivsement until the next meeting.
Claims were filed by Mri s. James 'B. Reynaud, Charle lynch, Mrs.
Isabel Hushes and- the'Cavanagh heirs for return of money 'claimed to
have been paid under prote last October to the Street Superintendent
for the assessinent and . penalties for the- Douglas Street opening.
City Attorney mall formerly stated that the City had never received the
money and the Street Superintendent had not receIv,ed it. He having
duly made and seconded
refused to accept it when tendered. On motion, matter was laid
on `,the table.
Clerk was ins'Uructed to notify the No.rtnwestern•Pacific and the
P..&.'S'. R. Railway put. in shape the track, crossings of east
Ja ngton and East D Streets.
On motion duly made the Council adjourned.
