READING OF JOURNEL.
Minutes of a regular meeting of October 'I6 were read and approved
as recorded.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS.
The following reports of officers were read , received and placed
on file;
Report of Warfinger for the Month of September

Street Supt. Shaver reported that he was unable to secure all the
signatures necessary for- the Cherry Valley Sewer.
Clerk presented affidavd of posting notice of ImprIvement in the
natter of abandoning a portion of Ellis Street, also Affidavit of
publication of same°
REPORT OF STANDING GO.M
The report of the Finance Committee was read and same.'Becomended
for payment by the following resolution.
RESOLUTION NO 2;026: C.S.
Introduced by Mc Cargar, Seconded by Young.
Directing the Auditor to draw warrants in the favor of t
claims as submitted by the Finance Committee.
Adopted by 6 affirmative. votes, I absent.,
Chairman �4c Cargar of the building and ground -z Committee reported
the necessary repairs to`the roof .of the buildingin the
Coarp.eraton. Yard as having been completed. Filed..
City;Enginaer Horwege reported the completion of the culvert across
the railroad.tracks as completed except for.t;he concrete walls on
the ends . Clerk. directed to'•. _wrte the Railroad Co tolurge the
completion of the same.
PETITION$ AND COMMUNICATTONS.
A communication from Manager Brown of the Telephone Co asking for
information in regards to the Emergancy Doctor,.Ambalance etc ,-
After some discussion on the matter Councilman Heley announced
that he would place his newcouto ambalance at the disposal of the
City free of charge.

been completed to the satisfaction of the Street Supt. me and
the same is hereby accepted.

RESOLUTION NO.- 2029.

Be it resolved that J. B- .Silva be•and he ILs hereby
authorizeA to construct a sewer on Madison Street between the City
line and the center line of Ellis Street at a cost of 50 cents
per lineal foot

the The Clerk was directed to notify the Water Company
to remove main beneath the Sixth Street Bridge at a point
where it catches drift - mate'ria,l.
Coulcilman Allen brought up the matter of tree
planting and the City Attorney was directed to draw up an Ordinance
in regards to same.
The Council decided't'o furnish 20 loads of crushed i-ockx
:free at the Crusher for Spring and Ellis Street. Property owners
to pay for the hauling and spreading of the same.
The Halvorsen Barges having bioken.three fender piles at
the wharf of the Washington Street Bridge and three at the "D"
Street Bridgg the City Clerk was directed t °o write and demand that
the. same be replaced by the Halvorsen Company.
