McNear and Ir,a Stone to the City of Petaluma for the property on Ellis Street. Clerk was directed to have same recorded. The City Engineer reported the matter of extending the sewer on Kent Street before the street is completed,. BE I_T RESOLVED THAT,the salary of the four policemen receiving a salary of $75.00, per month be and the same is to 490..00 per month, commencing from January 1st, 1917. BE IT RESOLVED THAT the sewer on Madison Street between Fayran and Ellis St. having been constructed according to plans and specifications. and to the satisfaction of the street com- mittee and the Superintendent of Streets, same is hereby accepted. Adopted by affirmative votes. Absent Allen. Councilman Torr - reported that property owners on English; Street are in favor of having concrete sidewalks laid. The Council decided to put the matter over until sprinz- when the work will be ordered done. The Supe_rintende --nt of Streets was directed to notify Mr. Cavanagh to build a concrete sidewalk in front of his property on Fair Street and also to notify Mr. :viclear to improve the sidewalk on Jeffer Street between Hopper and Irwin Streets, and also to . notify property owners to remove pipe culverts from the gutters. Councilman Torr suggested the oiling of two more blocks on Third Street, but the Council dec=ided to put the work over -until spring. r Councilman Young called the attention to the need of an asphaltum kettle., and the Clerk was directed.to get price -list of same, The matter of charging wharfage for the use of the City wharf was d scu_ssad. , City Clerk was directed to write to the City of Napa and obtain the•ratea use in 'that City. The Mayor brought up the matter of equalization of pro- perty assessments. The matter was discussed but no action taken. AD JU'U`:.11MEN T . On motion duly made and seconded the Council adjourned.
