The Clerk presented Affidavid of Publication froli J.E.
Olmsted of Petaluma. Argus - for the publication of Ordinance Nd1160 C.S.
The Mayor reported that , he had intervied the Pacific Gas
and 'Electric Co. regardin# the placing with the City of extra bonds
for the proper replacement of A1s n Street which is being torn up by
them, and was informed by Ivianager ' that the Co was willing to
Rive further bonds for this work as soon as the Cit was ready for them

Directing the .Auditor to draw warrents in favor of the
claims as submitted by the Finance Comznitte,e.
Adopted'by 6 affirmative votes I absent.

PETITIONS AND COMMUNICA' IONS.

A communication was received from the Health Board regarding
the. construction of a sewer on,West and Howard Streets. Same was
refered to the Street Committee for report.
Applications for the position of.Poundmaster were received
from - .B.H,. Thomas and Chas. Carlson. FILED.
A communication fron the City of Napa inclosing information
regarding the rate of warfage in that City . FILED.
A communication was received from the Railroad C ommission
of the State of California, inclosing a'..copy of the Commissions
orders regarding - the Railroad. iniAn this City, FILED.
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES.

Ordinance No..I60 C.S. in refrence to the planting of trees
on the sidewalks be and the same is hereby adopted.

Councilman 1kc. Cargar brought up the matter of sidewalks
that were' needed in the following places, Walnut st neas ;'Jest st,
Eeokux near Viest st and in front of the American Hotel on Ariain st.
Councilman Young called attention to the condition of sidewalks on
Irwin and °,.hopper st'reets'.,;0n motion by Torr seconded by I'Ac. Cargar

the Supt.. of Streets was ordered to have sidewalks mentioned
repaired'and charge same to -the property owners.
?via.yor .HorweZe called the attention of the council to
the mecessity of light.s;in� the lavatories in both the Parks .
Matter was re�fer�d to the 'ark Commissioners .for action. °

, Councilman Torr called -the attention of the Council to
the piles that had -been 'broken at the Washington Street Bridge. by
the Halverson Barges. Clerk was directed to make a statement of
the damage done and turn the same over to City Attorney Hail for
action.
A card of thanks war read byythe City Clerk from TvIrs.
W 1! Farrel. and ,family thanking the Council for the floral
offering at the funeral of the late W.F.Farrell.
