Petition was - received from thel property owners on Baker betwoen Stanley and Bodega Ave asking that the Street be improved at an earlyY date. RESOLUTION NO .2046 C.S. Introduced by :dlc •'Cargar. , Secomded by Torr. Directing the City Engineer to make.a survey of Baker St' between Stanley and Bodega five. for the purpose of establishing the grade of said street. Adopted by 5.affirmative votes, 2 absent. A communication of the Golden Eagle M-1 Co was read ,asking that. the City abandon Redwood street in East Petaluma as it is laid out on Harmons Map' of East Petaluma, and lien of same accept a strip o'd land lying 8 feet west of the pkesent Redwood street. This strip to be of equel width and length as the present Redwood street-and the Golden Eagle Milling Will -once proceed, to curh,�g*tter and macadamize said strip of land without any expense to the . .City of Petaluma RESOLUTION NO. 2047 C.S. Intiuoduced by- Torr,'Seconded by Mc Cargar. Be it resolved that the propeElt 6n of the Golden Eagle Milling Co for abandonment .of Redwood St and a deed thereof i to the Golden Eagle Milling Co in exchange for a deed to a strip of gr ground.60 feet in width and ,5''75 feet long over block No I in the City Of Petaluma , 8 feet West - of t'ne West line of Redwood Street be and the same is hereby accepted and. the City Attorney is directed to prepare the necessary papers, pro that the City of Petaluma be at no expence in said the Golden -Eagle Pilling Co grade, new Redwood Street accodding to the adopted by the City of Petaluma. Resolved that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Petaluma to order the following work to be done in said City to -Wit; That Redwood Street be whollyyclosed up and,that the whole porti - on of Redwood Street a�s hereinafter particular ly described be- closed, vacated and abandoned. City Council agreed to aloes the Park Commissioners the sum $50°00 fot the 'purpose of incressng the ize of the water pipes in the Hill Plaza'0 Councilman Mc Cargar'brought up the matter of raising the' salary of the Chief of the Fire Dept.
