meeting of Feb. 21st were read and approved as recorded.

The Clerk presented affidavit for publication of Ordinance
!�To. 161, C. S. by John.A. Olmsted,. which was filed.
City , +ngineer Eorwege submitted an estimate of the cost of the
constructing of streets by concrete construction
REPORT OF STANDING COMMITTEE.

'The report of the Finance Committee was read and the same
recommended for payment by the following resolution.
RESOLUTION 110. 2053,, C.S.
Introduced by Young, Seconded by Councilman Allen.
Directing the Auditor to draw warrants in favor of the
claims as submitted by the Finance Committee.
Adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Chairman Gossage of the Buil.d.ina and Grounds Committee
stated'- that he had purchased a wagon and 'harness. for use .of the
Poundmaster; also that he had taken up the, matter of the town clock
with the Masonic Hall Committee,. stated that nothing could be
done at present until the repairs were made to 'the building.

Ordinance No. 162 C. 'S . , amending S'ecti ons 55 and 57 of
Ordinance' No. 4, was read and same was referred to the City Attorney
for approval, after which Clerk was directed to nave same published
according to law.

Resolution No. 2055,
introduced by Young Seconded by McCargar.
.Adopting Ordinance No. 161, G. S. being an Ordinance
establishing the grade of Baker Street from Stanley Street to
Bodega Avenue .
Adopted - by 7 affirmative votes.
NEW BUSINESS.
Resolution No. 2056.
Introduced by Young, Seconded by Torr.
Authorizing the closing of Redwood Street as set forth
in Resolution of Intention 14o. 2048 passed by the Council :on the
5th day of February, 1917, and authorizing, the IMayor and Clerk
to execute a deed which said deed shall 'cue executed pursuant. to
the proi7isions of that certain act of the - Legislature approved
May 1st , 1911.
Adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
RES'OLUTIOd NO. 2057.
Introduced by Young, Seconded by McCargar.
Directing the City engineer to prepare plans and
specifications for the Improvement of Baker.Street from Stanley
Street to Bodega Avenue, and also to submit to the Council the
data necessary to establish the grade of Douglas Street, also
plans and spec ificationa.for the construction of a storm and
sanitary sewer along said street from Post Street, to Fair Street.
Adopted_ by 7 affirmative votes.
City Engineer presented. plans and specifitcations for
the extension of the E. D Street Sewer. from Vallejo Street to
Kenilworth park.
Adopted by 11esolution.
RESOLUTION NO. 20;58.
Introduced by Young, seconded'by McCargar.
Adopting plans and specifications for the e- xt.ension
of the sever on Nast D Street to the center line of rayran Street
as prepared by the City Engineer.

Resideote on J Street, near Third asked for electric.street
light. Referred to the street committee with power to act.
Councilman Young brought up the matter` of the purchase of
a mechanical street tamper..P4atter was discussed but no action taken.
The matter relative to the alley off Bassett Street, between
Baker and Upham came up and was discussed, but no action taken.
