Mlinute,s of a regular meeting of March 19th, and a special meeting of 14arch 26th were read and approved as recorded . DEPORT OF OFFICERS. The following reports of officers 'we're read, received and - placed on file Report of Pound Master for the month of :Jlarch if If Whaf finer for the month of February. City Attorney.Hall reported that the Arthur case had been argued and had been submitted to the. Supreme Court. The Clerk presented affidavit of publication, and the Superinte4ident's affidavit of posting for Baker, Sixth and Edith Streets. HEPOR'T OF S 'AND.ING Ct�t��D TEE. On finance. The report of the Finance Committee was read and same recommended for payment by the following resolution: RES'OLU'TION NO. 2 C.S. Introduced by Young, seconded by Healey. Adopted by six affirmative votes -, One absent. Directing the Auditor to draw warrants in payment of the several claims �as submitted by the finance committ .e. F Chairman Gossage of the B. and G. Committee repoxt`ed that lie had secured •a price of $9.00 for 'replacing letters on the eater fountain at Western Avenue and Main Street. On.motion duly made and seconded the committee was authorized to have, the work done. In,the "matter of the light on I Street, no adtion will be. taken at this time r JEW B`LTS Il'VE S S . Directing; the Auditor to draw a warrant for 100`in favor of Company` " ", to hire automobile to assist in netting_ new recruits for the Company. Adopted by six affirmative votes, One absent. The matter of the improvement of High Street, from Bodega Avenue to Standley Street came up for discussion-,, and the. Clerk was directed to notify all parties interested to be'pre�sent at the next regular meeting of the Council when the matter will be discussed. On motion duly made and seconded the Street Su.perintend.ent was directed to purchase four "Nalsh traffic signs to be- placed as follows: East D .and Bremmen, East Washington and Bremmen, Keller and Washington, Western Avenue and :- eller.. On motion duly made and seconded the Street .9nmmittee was em3owered to purchase a new crusher read for crusher No. 2. to cost about $140. 121- -The Street Committee reported that they had interviewed Mrs. Lovell with, reference to moving back her fence on Webster Street, to allow the street to be made uniform.. The City Attorney was asked to prepare the necessary papers for signing. The Street Committee reported in favor of re t6rkng the curbs on Washington Street near Liberty, and was given power to act to have the work done. Councilman. Torr stated that he had ordered* the dolphins replaced. The work will be done as soon as t'ne pile driver arrives. In The matter of the improvement of Third Street, it was decided.to.aimprove one block on Third Street and one block on D Street for the present. The park Commitsioners were present and complaint was made in regard to Mr . Thomas the acting Pound Master. Mr. Thomas awas also present and stated his side of the case. The matter was discussed at length and Councilman Healey moved that the round Vaster be continued at a special salary, but that he vacate the residence.at the Dark, but that he be allowed to retain the found there, including the burying place for animals, his telephone also to be paid for.
