On Finance.
The repprt the Finance Committee .was read and the same was
reaomended for payment by the folloving�res;olutonQ

Directing the Auditor to draw warrents in payment of the
several claims as submitted by the Finance Committee.

Communication was received from Ann's Hospital Tredwell
Alaska, asking for a donation. Filed.
Communication from the N.W.P.Railroad Co. regarding the City
taping charge and doing, the nec,es'sary work over the crodsings of th .
compan on Washington and "D" Streets. It was ordered that the
Supt .# of Streets fix the. "'D" Street crossings and send a bill
for same to the Co.
iJErrQ BUISNESS.
Per resolution No.21.36.the Auditor and The City Treasurer
we=re directed to sell the Citg'-s:. Liberty Bond at par value,`.` with
.the understanding that they would'a ain be repurchased before
M)ec.enber .I LK7', at an increas of 2%O over their par value.
City Engineer A A Ho.rwege. made a report'of the cost of
the reconstruction of "D" Street. It was decided to complete the
work on ".D"S`T from Sixth - Street t& the City line.
Councilman Mc Cargar brought up the matter of the stagnant
pools in' Thompson Creek and asked that a small drainage ditch be
dug in order that the the water would have a chance to run out
when the tide id low.
On motion by Young Seconded by Mc Cargar dame was refered
t the-Supt. Of Streets.
Manager Herman Weber of the Pacific Gas 8c Electric 90
a d- resd ="the Council regarding the matter of the removal of

poles from, Kentucky..S,tree.t At his request :Tuesday evening Sept 4
at 7.P.M. was .'set_ for.. a confr.ence of. the Utility companies and the
City Council.
The matter of the inspection of all meat in this City was
discussed at length and finally refered to the Health Board.
Atty. Burk adressed the Council in behalf of the Taxi
owner- -s'of this City who complained that there were certain truck
owners in this - City who were soliciting buisn.ess on the streets
to carrylopersond to'various points , and who were not paying any
lisense.• After much discussion of the matter the Chief of Police.
was ordered to inforce the li -cense ordinance against the auto `
men complained of by the taxi owners•
