The report of the Finance Commute was read and same
recomme$ded .for the payment by the following resolution;

Communication was received from the State Board of
Ebalth resting that the Officer of the Health Department attend
the League Meeting at Santa Rosa.

Power Company showing the amount due the City an account of
franchise priveledge . The amount due was $336.42.

Ordinance No. 169 C . ' S. Regulating and providing for fire
extinguishers in stores warehouses, dactories etc. Same was

Adopting the plans in specifications for the widening of the
road way of Kentucky St. between Washington 5t. and Viestern Ave.
and be it further resolvent that the Clerk advertised for bids

mitted at the next re ?ulceting of this Council to wit:

Whereas the Council of the City of Petaluma did,.in•open

Resolved- that. the said Council hereby rejects all of said
proposals or bids ekcept that next he rein mentioned, and hereby
awards the contract for doing said work and improvement to the
lowest responsible bidder, to wit:
Woods , Sylva & Schluneggar at the prices named in their
- bid. The City clerk is hereby directed to post notice of this
award conspicuously fox 'five days, on or near the chamber door of
the Council Chambers, and also publish said notice by two inser-
tion in the Petaluma Courier, a daily newspaper published and
circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose
by sai City Council.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a full,
true and correct copy of the Resolution of A ward No. 2144, duly
and regularly passed by the Council of the City of Petaluma the
17th day of September, 1917, by the following vote
