Gossage. Mayor Horwege presiding.
READING OF JOURNAL
Minutes of a regular meeting of Septeriiber 17th, were
read and approved as recorded.
REPORT 'OF OFFICES .
The following reports of officers were read, received and
placed on file:

-The Clerk presented affidavit of publication by Homer
W. Woods, Notice of Award of Contract, Douglas & Spring Street
sewer; also for the publication of Ordinance. No. 169 and i4otice .
to $idders in the matter of the.widenino of Kentucky Street.
Also the Clerk's affidavit for the posting of Notice of
Award of Contract of Douglas St. sewer.
REPOiil OF STANDING .CJMMI'TTEE

The report of the Finance Committee was read and same
recommended for 'payment by the following resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 2146 C.S.
Introduced by Strad;li-ng , :seconded by Healey.
Directing the Audi't'or to draw warrants in payment of the
several claims as submitted by the Finance Committee.,
Adopted by six affirmative votes, one absent.
PETIT-IONS AND C01 ,1UNICATIONS .
.Circulars were received from 'the Liberty Loan Board,
asking that 'the officials assist in securing the second liberty
loan. Filed.
Communication from John C. Wayne asking for rebate on
license paid for the first quarter, beginning July '1st, for the
Gem Theatre. On motion duly made and seconded same was granted and
so ordered.

RESOLUTION 140. 2141, C. .S .
Introduced by Healey, seconded Strad ling.,
Adoptng,'Ordinarice No. 169 C.. S., being•an ordinance
amending- Ordinance No. 79 C. S. entitled "An ordinance regulating
the keeping, storage or use of gasoline in any private or public
garage in the City of Petaluma ".
Adopted by six affirmative votes, one absent.
NEW BUSINESS
The Clerk presented a transcript of the judgment in
the suit of'Weishand vs. City of Petaluma. Same was ordered filed
as it was stated that the case is to be appealed.
Mr. W. B. Hopkins appeared oef'ore tie U aria asxed

de,legates_of.the.Creamery operators. Also that the City flags be
used to decorate the streets during the convention . On motion duly
made and seconded; same was granted. So Ordered.
Park Commissioner Offutt asked that an electric light be
installed at the D Street entrance to Kenilworth Bark. Referred to the
Street Committee with - power to act.. Mr. Offutt also asked that.
Kenilworth Park be given the street sweepings to be used as -ferti-lizer.
Order to that effect was made.

widening of Kentucky Street as follows:

Awarding of'same was deferred for further consideration.
