Introduced by, .,Stradling,, seconded 'by Healey. Directing the -A uditor to draw warrants in payment of the several claims submitted by the Finance Committee. Adopted by six affirmative votes, one absent. The committee appointed to ascertain the cost of reinstal- linj-- the bell`in the town clock, asked for, and was granted further time. The, street committee "reported the installation of a street light at the entrance of -Kenilworth Park on D. Elder appeared on behalf of the General Committee and asked that the City appropriate #300.0.0 as their share in providing recreation and baths for the National,Army Camps for our soldiers. Coi,incilman'McCargar moved that the request be granted. There being no second t:o the motion, and as it was' shown that it could not be legally done, the matter was laid on the table. NE'rsV BUSINESS J. A. Potter brought up the matter of housing the City appara6a.s during the winter, the Corporation Yard being now full, there is no room there for all the machine'ry.'The matter was referred to the Buildings and Grounds Committee to investigate and report 4 64 The Pacific Gas and Electric Company made a proposition to install the latest gas heating devices in several of the offices of the City Hall.
