Minutes of the Regular of December 17th. 1917, of a

SPORT OF OFFICERS.
THE following reports of officers were received and placed

-The report of City Wharfinger J.W.Studdert shoving 16043 tons.ex-
ported and 12730 tons imported by °the way of Petaluma River during the
17
month of November 1917.
The report'of Chty Poundmaster for the December 1917 was read show-
ing destruction of 26 dogs and the burying of one Cat.
FINANCE.
The report''of the Finance ^C.ommittee was `read and the .following
resolution passed,

HEALTH OFFICER.
A CQnunicati,on was read from Dr.R .B.Duncan Health Officer of
this City requisting that the salary said office be raised from
$25.00 per. month to 450 per.. wont , stating that the recent
changes in the laws caused much additional attention; accompanying

:said c,.ommuncation was a copy of a resolution passed at a meeting
of the Board of Realth held on Jany. 3rd. 1918.requisting said in

Belt resolved that the salatty Dr.R.B.Puncan for City Health

Be it reso lved that the S2 Goverment Bonds owned by the City of
Petaluma be sold to Geo.P.Mc.Near upon the followin basis, to wit:
$96.00 for each 0100.,00 thereof sand in the event of a sale of said
Bonds by said Mc.Near for an amount equal or grater, the City to re
ceive the benifit of the uncolle6ted interest "bearing coupons.

DOUGLAS ST. SEWER.` k
City Engineer A.A.Haiwege reported the Douglas St.. Sewer completed by
the Contractors Woods
9 Sylva& Sehluneger to his,�and according to the
plans and specifications and requested that the'Cty share thereof
be paid said contractors.
RESOLUTION No. 2177 C.S.
Introduced by Young seconded by Allen;
Be it resolved that Woods Sylvia & Schluneger having completed
the constructed of the-Douglas St& Spring St. sewers, that the Auditor
be and he is hereby directed to draw•a warrant in.favor of said-Woods,
Sylva &Schluneger in the sum of $885.76 as.the City of Petaluma share
of the assessment of the St. sewer.

TOWN CLOCK.
Councilman Mc.Gargar reported complete repairs to the Town Clock.
LIGHT.

Application for Electric Light at the corner.of Bro,dway and English
Streets, refered to Steet Committee.
INVATATION.
The Mayor reported an invatation to send delegates to Congress of
National Service to be held in Chicago. No action..
LICENSE.
J.C..Wayne addressed the Council in regaed to reduction of license on
his Moving Picture House on Lentuckey St.. Council expressed willing—
ness to reduce said license to $12.50 per. quarter and the subject
matter was refered to the City Attorney to prepare suitable amendment
to license ordinance.
C:LERX AND AUDITOR.
The layor brought to the notice of the Council the subject of the

appointment .of.a Clerk and Auditor to fill.; a vacancy caused by the
resignation of F.B after discussing the said subject matter
the appointment of a Clerk and Auditor was laid over until the next
meeting of the Council.
The Street Superintendant reported that the.repairs to sidewalks
refered to him to notify the different pr.aperty owners was receiving
attenti,ono.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion of- Mc.Cargar seconded by S'tradling the Council adjourned
to meet on the next regular meeting night Jany „21st. 1918 at 7 :30
oclock.
