The minutes of the last Regular Meeting held on January 21st 1918 were read and approved as readz and recorded. FINANCE. The report of the Finance Committee was read and the following reso- lotion passed, Resolution i1o. 2182 C. S. Introduced by Councilman Healey, seconded by Councilman Stradling; Be it resolved that the Auditor be and he is hereby.directed to draw warrants in payment of the amounts of the several claims as app proved by the Finance Committee'. Torr', .Police Judge, reported $!30. collected for fines in the month of January, 19.18. Pound Master Armstrong reported 02.50 fines collected. J. Ot. Introduced by Councilman Heale'y,$.econded by Councilman Stradling,,, Be it resolved ghat the Mayor appoint a Committee of two for the purpose of negotiating the sale of fifteen thousand Liberty loan Bonds. Batchelor for deed of a, portion of "01d 8th" PIT, I read; and after discussion, decision and action thereon was post- poned until next meeting, and in the meantime the Board decided # to inspect the land. NEW BUSINESS. Resolution 2185 C. S. Introducedk by Councilman Stradling,seconded. by.councilman Healey Whereas the lease heretofore executed by the City of Petaluma to the Presto Electric Company for the premises known as the "Foundry Lot" and,the buildingsAhereon having become void and of-n o- force and effect by reason of the failure of said Presto Electric Company to comply with the conditions thereof, and upon the notice of said forfeiture to said Company by the Clerk under and by vir- tue of Resolution 2181 C. S.; Therefo be it resolved that the possession and occupancy of said premises be and the same now vest in the City of'Petaluma by reason of said forfeiture. Councilman Healey addressed the Council in reference to the curbing on Prospect street and the following rsolution in refer- ence thereto was adopted,t0 -wit; Resolution i4o 21'86. Introduced by Co:unci,lmanacCarga:r, seconded by Councilman Stradling; Be it resolved that the curb on both sides of Prospect 1 1 1 street between Keokuk and Liberty streets be reconstructed and re- placed by.a concre't+urb and the Street committee 'be authorized to �` eJ 0 AN d ' kph to .construct the same. Adopted by 5 affimative votes, 2 absent. Resolution Igo. 218.7 C .S . intiroduedd by Councilman Healey,seconded by 8ouncilman Stradling. BE IT RESOLVED THAT the price of crushed rock from the City Rock Crusher be and the same,is hereby fixed at $1.00 per cubic yx yard on and after February 15th 1918. Adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absent. Re ; so luti.on 11o. 218x, C-6 Introduced by Councilman Healey,seconded by Councilman Stradling BE I:T RESOLVED THAT 20 loads of rock be furnished the Box factory at the quarry for the improvement of the roadway at said factory free of charge, said road way being a part of 2nd street. Adopted by 5 affimative votes, 2 absent. ® It was moved and seconded that the Superintendent of Streets be and is hereby instructed to notify all property owners where in his judgment side walks are in bad condition to repair the same.
