HEADING. OF JOURNAL.
The minutes of the last Regular meeting held on April lst.'1918 and
o§ the postponed Regular meeting held 'on April 3rd,,1918 read and approv-
ed as recorded.
REFORTS OF CITY OFFICERS.
The Clerk reported approval by the City Attorney and publication in J;h '.

the Daily `loss Courier of Ordinanceq�NoG. 170,, 171 C. S. as *required
by law and the filing of affidavits of publication of said ordinances,
and also. reported 'filing of affidavit- of publcation of He.svlution of
Intention No. 2205 'C. S. and affid'avi.t of posting notice's' as required
by law under said Resolution.
City Attorney Hall reported the receipt4 document as to proposed
improvement of Petaluma Creek.

The Finance Committee reported its'approval of sundry bills and the
following resolution was int roduced..

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Auditor be and he is hereby directed to`
draw xaxuxss warrents in payment of the several claims approved by the
Finance Committee.
Adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1. absent.
PASSAGE OF ORDINANCES.

Resolution ordereing work No. 2212 C. S.

RESOLVED, that whereas the City Council of the City of Petaluma did on
the '18 day of March,'1918, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 2205
C.,S. to`order the hereinafter described work to be done and improvement
to be made in said City, which r'e'solution of Intention was duly and leg-
ally published as required by law,, a7s appears' from 'the affidavit of Rxmff
Homer. W. Wood now on file in the office of the City clerk of said City;
and whereas, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention
No. 2205 C.'S. headed "Notice of Improvement" were duly and legally*
posted along the line of'said contemplated work and improvement and in
front of all the property liable td' be,assessed therefor, in form and
manner as'required by law, after the passage of-said Resolution of In-
tention, as appears from the affidavit of J. A. Potter who personally
posted the same., and who, upon the completion pf'the posting of said no-
tices, forthwith filed said affidavit in the office of the City clerk,

making oath that he completed the' - posting of said notices on the 29
day of March, 1918; and,whereas,.all protests or objections presented k
have been of in time, form and manner as required by law, and t
the City Council having nova acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed
improvement, it is hereby

The City clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said,work,- to-
gether with the plans and specifications therefor, conspicuously for
five .days. on or near the council chamber door, .inviting sealed proposals
orb bids for doing the work ordered.
He is also directed to publish
twice a notice inviting such proposals, and referring to the specifi-
cations posted or on file in the Petaluma &mA± Courier, , a daily news-
. paper published and circulated in said City, and here -by designated for
that purpose.

I hereby certify that the forego resolution was duly and regu-
larly passed by the uou acil of the .Ui•ty of Petaluma, at a regular meet-
ing of said City Council held the 15.day of April, 1918, by the follow-
ing vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Allen, McCargar,.Stradling, Young, Healey, and
Gossage. Noes, none. Absent., Mayor H'orwege.

RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Petaluma, that psuant

and subject to all, the terms, conditions and provisions of the Public
Health act of the State of California, approved March 23,1507, and all
amendments tnereto, application by. this City be made to the State board
of health of the. State- of California, for a permit :to_ use existing wo,rxs
for sewerage and -sewage disposal into Petaluma fiver;
What the Mayor of said City be and he is hereby authorized aria directe
ed to. cause the necessary data to ba prepared, and investigations to be
made, and in to name of said City to sign and file such.application
with the said State Board of Health.
