Ordinance No. 172 Charter Series
Councilman Allen introduced Ordinance No.172.Charter Series.
Said Ordinance was read and on motion regularly made carried it
was refered to the City Attorney for approval amd was thereupon
approved by the City Attorney and the clerk directed to post the
same as provided therein.
NEW BUSIifESS ;
Councilman Allen stated that a proposition had been made for
the City to purchase 400th ft track steel ties,-cars etc, for the
rock quarry for the sum of X100. After discussion the matter was
refered to the Street committee with power to act.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the resignation of h. A. Hor.ciege as City
Engineer be and the same is hereby accepted.

Be it further resolved that th&sCouncil does hereby express its
thanks' to Mr. Horwege for the competent, efficient and painstaking
manner- in which he has performed the duties of his office.

In re Health Board.
Resolution lio. 2236 Charter Series. {
Introduced by Councilman Young seconded by Councilman Healey;
WHEREAS Dr. James Anderson having gone into the I.Mi itary service of_
the U. S. Government thereby creating a vacancy in the board of-Health,
BE IT RESOL'J_-w THAT Dr. Anderson be and he is hereby appointed a:
member of the board of. Health of the City of Fetalursa.

BE IT RESOLVED TH&T the-sum of fifty (650.) dollars be and the same is
hereby donated to the Baby Welfare Committee for the use and benefit

of said organization for the preservation of the health of the chil-
ren of the City of Petaluma.

On motion regularly made and carried unanimously Councilman Adolph
'Young was declared elected vice - president

On suggestion of City Attorney Hall a
committee of four consisting

creek to see what
improvements are necessary to be made for
better drainage.

It was moved seconded and unanimously
carried that a vote of
