Regular adjourned.mee.ting of the Council of the Cit of Petaluma, called to order by Mayor H. S. Gossage. ROLL CALL.. Councilmen present Allen, Sales, McCargar, Young and Mayor Gossage. Absent Councilmen Stradling and Healey. REPORT'S OF OFFICERS. c:0 r is The City Clerk reported the posting and filing of affidavit of post- ing in the matter of Ordinance No.178 Charter Series, also the publica- tion of 6tice qr. proposals to do City adv'ert1sing for , the fiscal year ending June 30th, 191:9:, and the filing of affidavit of publication. Councilman Healey here entered the meeting -and was noted present. City Attorney Hall reported progress in the, Creek improvement matter and on motion regularly made and carried the Mayor and City Attorney were appointed a committee to obtain rights of way. _11E PORTS OF ST�:1 1D11d:u COI,'ll�1I "1' TEES. The Finance Committee reported favam approval of anumber of accounts against the var- &ous funds and the following resolution passed,t0 -wit; Resolution. No2238 Charter Series. Introduced by Councilman.McCargar seconded by Councilman Young, - n BE IT RESOLVED THAT the auditor be and he is directed to draw war - rents in payment of the several claims approved and allowed by the Finance Committee. Adopted by 6 affirmative votes. No noes. 1 absent. Councilman Allen chairman of the Street Committee reported that the -Committee had purchased the pump and mw motor from the County to use for street sprinkling. Also reported purchase for.��100. rail - rodd and cars for.rock quarry, City to pay a expense of delivery. PETITIONS AND 001MAUNICATI014S. The resignation of J. _r. Gallegher as Library Trustee read and filed. Communication received from'the Library Trustees requesting thatE.A Nisson be appointed Library Trustee to succeed J. P. Galagher,resigne.d. ADOPTI011 OF ORDINANCES. Ordinance No. '172 Charter Series was adopted by the following vote, Affirmative, Louncilmen Allen, Sales, ivieCargar,'Young, Healey, and Mayor Gossage, 6 vote. The Building and Grounds Committee was authorized to'purchase a flag for the City Hall. Be IT RESOLVED THAT the resignation of J. Y. Gallagher as Library Trustee of the City of Petaluma be and the same is hereby accepted. Be 'it further resolved that E. A. Nisson be and he is hereby appoint- ed hibrary Trustee to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of J. P. Gallagher. Adopted by 6 affirmative votes. No noes. 1 absent. City Advertising. - Bids or proposals to do the City advertising for the fiscal year-end- ing June 30, 1919 were received frorn the Petaluma Courier and the Peta- luma Argus an'd the Petaluma Argus having the lowest bid the following reso- lution was adopted. Petaluma Argus having lh submitted the lowest bid for the Official Ldvertising of the City of Petaluma for the fiscal year ending ,r^ June 30th, 1919, '- therefore �+ BE IT THAT the bid of the said Petaluma Argus for said ad4.ertising be and the same is hereby•accepted upon the filing of a bond for the faithful performance in the sum of $250. Adopted by 6 affirmative votes, no noes, 1 absent- Establishing AdditioneLl Funds. X20 Resolution 14o 2242 Introduced by Couilcilman Allen seconded by Councilman Sales, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Clerk and Auditor, and City 'Treasurer are hereby instructed to establish in addition to the funds heretofore es tablished a "ROCK CRUSHES FUND" into which shall be deposited all mon- eys received from the sale of rock, caps, fuse„ and powder,.and all other moneys received for the use of the City rock crusher:, and out of which shall be paid all expenses incurred in connection with said rock w crusher; " Also establish an additional fund to be kncwrn as a "SALARY FUND" which fund shall be raised by a percentage of the regular property tax, and if necessary by transfer from the General Fund, and oyt o.f which shall be paid the annual and monthly salaries of the officers of the City of Petaluma.
