called to order by Mayor Young.

NEIW BUSINESS-
E addressed the Council in reference toiappropiating
money for Band concerts and the matter was taken
under advisement,

Whereas the bid of Bauer & Bau 9 h'for the construction and equipmelt
of electroliors on Kentucky street being the lowest bid there-

rejected and the Cierk instrqcted to return all certified checks to
the unsuccessful bidders.

Stradling, seconded by Uounailma - n'ItiIcCargar to-wit;

Whereas the bid of Schlune Brotlaers for the construction, of the
4th street bridge being the lowest and.best bid,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT the construction thereof be awarded

said Schlunnegar.Bros. and all. other .bids. therefor submitted be rejecte
and the :clerk instructed to return all certified checks to the unsuccess-
ful bidders. '
Adopted by 7 Affirmative votes Noes none.
°It was moved and carried that the�Building and' Grounds Committee
be authorized to obtain Plans and Specifications for Corporation build-
ing.
ti4rs. Wright addressed the Council. in reference to Childrens Home
Society of California and the following resolution was adopted to -wit;
Resolution No,.2329 C. S.

Childrens Home SociP -ty of California in holding a " Heart Day" drive_
_on Saturday Sept. 13th, 19,19, in the City of Petaluma.
