The "minutes of the last regular meeting held on the lst day of
December, 1919, were read "and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF OFFICES:
The City Clerk reported. that he filed the affidavit of publication o
of Ordinance KM85 C. C. and the certificate of posting of Ordinance N
No. 186 C. S.

The Tinanee Committee rendered its re.portx of allowance of
various account.s.against the City and offered the following resolution
introduced by McCargar seconded by Councilman. Hopkins, to -wit
Resolustion No. 2a6O C. S
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Auditor be and he is hereby directed to draw
warrents against the various funds in payment.of the several claims al-
lowed and approved by the Finance Committee. Also that the Auditor
draw warrents on the 23rd day of December 1919, in payment of the month
ly, salaries of the officers of the Cit of Petaluma in payment of their
salaries for the Month of December,'1919.

A *communication was received from the Library trustees in ref-
. to the vacancy caused by the death If trustee S. J. Hopkins,
Mrs. Brown on behalf of the.Health Center Baby Clinic addressed
the Council and stated that they had not used all the money heretofore
d- onated by the Council and returned tb the City the sum of '138.29,
and on- motlon regularly made and carried a vote of thanks xx
to the Ladies was unanimously passed.

It was moved and carrie that the,City Attorney be instructed to
report on procedure necressary to abate stayvays and other obstructions
to zAx sidewalks on Washington St . near Iv4 _ller Building and -Johnson
building and other places where necessary..
