Regular Meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma, called to
order by Mayor Young.
ROLL CALL:
Councilmen present; Allen., Hopkins, McCargar Sales', Stradling,
White and Mayor Young. Absent none.

The minutes of the last regular meeting held on the 19�rh day of
January .l920, -and of the Special 'meeting held on the 27th day of Jan-
uary 1920, were read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF O.FFICERS':
The followingFofficerS rendered their monthly reports, to -wit,;
Police Judge, Supt of Street Wharfinger, , found master, Auditors Fi-
nancial report, Treasurers report.
The City Clerk re.ported the-filing of application of Newburg
Heirs for a city deed, and that'he had posted the same as required by

.law.
Mayor Young verbally reported on various.matters.

The Finance �'ommittee offered the following resolution,
Resolution No. 2371 C. S.
Introduced by Councilman Stradling seconded by Councilman McCargar,
Be. ITT RESOLVED THAT the Auditor be and he i.s hereby directed_ to draw
warrents against the various funds in.payment of the various claims
approved and allowed by tle Finance C
Adopted by 1 Affirmative Votes, NOES none..
The Street Committee reported or- Antended work on Hayes street
. and recommended that no action be taken at this time. Also reported
on atree-t lights..
NEW BUSINESS:
The plumbing inspector reported sewer conditions on Cherry xt
street and it was moved,, seconded and carried that the City Engineer
and Street Committee investigate the matter and report to the Council.
It was moved and carried that matter of sewer on "Madison
street be 'left to the Street'Committee.
The matter of a horse for the Pozndmaster was left to the
Mayor with power to act. `.
It was moved and carried that the matter of placing Fire k
bell on City Hall be Taft to Councilman Mc C argar with pourer to act.
It was moved and carried that the matter of the 'lights in
Council chambers etc,be left to Building & grounds comm tee to act.

It was moved and carried that the.Chie:f of Volice. be allowed to
purchase a type writer at a sum .not to e.xcceed 430.

ing the Clerk to demand a deposit of $10. before allowing plans or
specifications for Main &o Third st. Improvements to leave his office was

It was moved and seconded that the'bills for liquor licene .'s rebate be
laid on the table. .Notion lost.
It was moved and carried that the bills for liquor license rebates
be refered to the Finance Committee for investigation of each bill.
There being no further business on rdtion,regularly made and carried
the. meeting adjourned.
