Regular Meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma, called Jmx
to order by Mayor Young.
ROLL CALL;
Councilmen present, Allen, McCargar, Sales, Stradling Vffiite
and Mayor Young. Absent Councilman Hopkins.
READING OF Tli E JOUR N'L :
The minutes. of the last regular meeting held on the 16th day
of February, 1920 were read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS OF CITY OFFICERS :
The monthly reports of the Police Judge, Superintendent of Streets
Wharfin er, 13oundmast6r., Auditors Financial -report and City Treasurers
report were read and filed.

The Finance.Committe.e rendered its.report of various accounts xJ
allowed against the City and offered the following resolution,.

Introduced by Councilman Allen seconded by Councilman McCargar,

draw warrents against the.various funds in payment of the several ac-
counts allowed and approved by the Finance Committee.
Adopted by 6 Affirmative votes, WOES none, libsent 1.
NEW BUSINESS: In Re. BIDS for Dement, Sand, and basalt - blocks.
This being the'time fixed by advertisements for the opening of
bids for the sale of basalt blocks, for purchase of sand or'fine k
aggregagate and cement for improving Main and Ord streets the clerk
reported the received of bids hereinafter mentioned and the Council
proceeded to open and read the same,all bids being accompanied by
certified checks or bonds as required by the Notices, to -brit;
The United. Railroads o:f San Francisco for basalt. blocks.
The .E. B. & A. L. Stone Co.., and The Rusgi 4T iver Gravel Co. for
sand or fine ?-aggregate,, and Santa Cruz Portland Cement Co., Camm& Kam,
'Hedges Co., A.F. - Tomasini Hardware Co, G., P. MCNear Co., Golden -Eagle
Milling C., Pacific Portland Cement Co., M.'Vonson.Coe, Parker&o Gor-
don,, and Henry C °owell Lime &- cement Co for cement.

Introduced by Councilman Stradling seconded by Councilman McCar-
gar accepting the bid of The United Railroads of San Francisoo and
awarding- the. 400,00.0 more or less basalt blocks `to said Company was

It was moved seconded, and regularly carried that a committee of
three be appointed to confer on amendments to veternary hospital
ordinance.

It was moved, seconded and regularly carried that the Mayor appoint
a committee of three to himself, on,plans and specifications
for electroliers for Main and Third streets. The Mayor appointed to
act thereon Councilman Sales and Vhite.
