Regular 1deeting of the 'Council of the City of Petaluma, called to order by 14ayor Young. 35 ROLL CALL: Councilmen present, Allen, Hopkins, MdcCargar, Sales, Vihite and Mayor Young. Absent Councilman Strad-ling. READING OF TH' JOURNAL: The minmtes of the last Regular Meeting held on the 6th day of December, 1920, were and_ approved as recorded. REPOEI S 01 CITY OFFIC -8RIS : The Auditor reported that he had apportioned the sum of $90614.37 from the Unapportionned Fund to the various funds entiled thereto as fixed by the tax levy, and as per resolution had transfered from the General Fund to the Rock Crusher fund the sum of "$1485..02 for crushed rock used by the City. REPORTS OF ST �IJDI 3G COMMITTEES: The Finance Committee rendered its report of allowance and approval c of various accounts against the City and offered the following resolution introduced by Councilman Allen seconded by Councilman McCargar to -wit; Resolution do. 2487 C .S. Be It 'Resolved That the Auditor be andhe is hereby directed to draw warrents against the various Funds in p of the several claims against the City allowed and approved by the Finance Committee. .Adopted by 6 Affirmative votes, No noes, 1 abseht. Chairman Sales of the Street Committee verbally reported on various street matters refered to'his 0ommittee. PET 'T TO E AND COLI&IUNICATIONS Commonucations received from The Northwestern Pac. R. R. Co., The Petaluma Vomens Club, and Boy Scouts and were read and filed. INTRODUC TIO3 OF ORDINANCES: Councilman Hopkins introduced the following which was read approved by the City Attorney and filed to -wit Ordinance No. 196 C. S. "An ordinance prohibiting prize fights, puglistic contests or boxing exhibitions within the City o Petaluma, and prescribing punishments for the violation-hereof, and repealing all. ordinances or parts of ordinances (in conflict herewith." Councilman White introduced the following ordinance which was read, ap- proved by the City Attorney and filed, to -wit; Ordinance No. 197 C. S. "An ordinance. of the.City of Petaluma, providing for and adopting a method of procedure for carrying out or efectuating any grantdd or 360 implied power and change. of the grade, laying out, opening, extend- ing., widening, Changing, paving, repaving, or otherwise improving all public streets and highways and public places and pertaining to the construction of sewers, drains and culverts, the planyi:ng or trees - and all other Dublic imT)- rovement work." Councilman Sales introduced the following Ordinance and the same was read, approved by t }.pie City Attorney and filed, to -wit; Ordinance No. 195 C. S. "An ordinance providing for the licensing and regulation of keeping and maintaining dogs and regulating the running at large thereof, and 3M repealing ordinance Ito. 167, Charter Series,, and all other ordinances xy or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. Absemt2. It was moved and carried that a committee of three.K be appointed by the Mayor to attend to matter of Street crossings with the R.R.Cos. The lYlayor appointed on the Committee Councilmen White, , Allen; and McCargar. It was regularly moved and carried that the 'Bo,y :Scouts be given the privilege of taking care of the flags as requested, by them.
