REPORTS OF CITY OFFICERS: The. S. BE IT IESDLVED THAT the Auditor is hereby directed to dray warrents against the various funds in payment of the several claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee. Adopted by 6 Affirmative votes 1 absent. REPORTS OF SE s'C D CO1 , : Councilman McCargar reported that he had taken down the Fire Bell on Washington street and stored the same in the Corporation Yard. Presentation of Petitions and Communications; Communications ;received 'from The Amer ±bann 'Legion, ti'Iomanft Club and Central Labo&, Council protesting against erecting hitching rails at JmRx lower Main -Street. After hearing remarks from various citizens for and protesting against hitching rails on lower Main street it was moved. anff carried that the request of Business IJIen of Lower idain street therefor be denied.and that.the matter of more hitching rails be left to the Street Committee with power :to: act. It was moved and carried 'that *Councilmen Stradling and Me- Cargar be and are appointed a committee to attend to matter of piling along -the C:ity's,prope,rty on the water front with power to act.
