Regular Meeting of the Council o the City U Petaluma, called to order by r - Mayor Young ROLL CALL: Councilmen presentAllen, Batchelor, Farrell, McCargar, Salesi and 1Iayor Young. 471 READING OF THE JOURNAL: The minutes of the last regular meeting held on the 2nd day of October, 1922, were read andapproved as recorded. REPORTS OF CITY OFFICERS: The Gity.Clerk reported that he 'had sent a communication to Cole Deakyn as directed by the Council last meeting, also: -that he had fib published and posted notices of filing of unpaid assessment list for improvement of Edith Street , and filed affi- davits thereof,. also that he had published notice to bidders for improvement of 6th Street east of I street, bids to be opened by the Council on October 16th, 1922. REPORTS OF - STANDING COMkITTEES: The finance Committee rendered its report allowing claims against the City and Chairman MaGargar thereof introduced and Councilman Allen seconded 2. Resolution No.' 2644 C. S,. , to viit; "BE I_T R]qSQL;11E:f1.THAT the Auditor be and'he is hereby directed to draw warrents against the various Funds in the City Treasury in favor of the various claimants , whose claims have this day been allowed and - approved by the Finance Committee.' Adopted by 7 Affirmative votes, Noes none PETITIONS AND COP.MUNICAT,IONS - - C'ommunicati,on received -from American Legion inviting the Council and City efficers to participate in Oelebrating Armistice day read and filed. City Attorney Burke filed list of City property in his posession . Communication received from L. Solari sladmg that he. no longer desired a soft drink license, zs&xtkz read and filed and the matter of forfeiting his permit tea.. was indefinitely. postponed. N EW BUSINESS: It was regularly moved and carried that the matter of forfeiting permit for Soft Drink License granted Matoza be postponed until the next AOMMN.Regular Meeting. It was moved and carried that the matter of the Lloyd sewer be left to the Street Committee with power to-act It was moved.and carried that the invitation of the American Legion.be accepted. Bids were opened for the proposed work on 6th Street fro I street to a point 610 feet easterly therefrom, pursuant .to the Notice to bidders and S. E. Adams being the only bidder .aouncilman.17h to introduced and Councilman Farrell seconded Resolution of Award No. 2645 C. S. awarding, said contract to Adams according to his bid therefor. Adopted by '7 Affirmative votes, Noes none: 4"72 In re 'Washington St. Bridge. Resolution No:2646 8. S. Directing the City Clerk to advertise for bids for painting Washington Street bridge according to spec.f.ication filed with the City Clerk by the Street Committee was adopted by 7 Affirmative votes, Noes none.
