by Mayor Sales.

The minutes of the last regular meeting of August 20th were read and
approved as recorded.
- REI'ORTS.OF CITY OFFICERS:
- The financial report of the Au.dit.or for the month of August was read and
filed; also the report of the Wharfinge for the month, of July read and filed:
The C ity Attorney r:eported,receivirg a letter -from the P. G. & E. Co.`
in which they asked that'the lease which the.Couhcil were willing to grant .
them on near the- D St. Br,idge for a period of 15 or 25 years instead
of 5 years. The City Attorney was instructed'to write them a 5 year J
lease was all that could be granted under the City Charter.

The Finance '.Committee rendered- its report on the allowance' of, numerous
claims against the City and Councilman Van Bebber i3troduced and Councilman
IrcCargar seconded the following resolution, to -wit:

warrants against the City Funds in payment of tha claims allowed and approved

ed the 17th day of July, , 19.11 and entitled, "An ordinance to prevent the
driving o`f loos'e cattle, horses, mules sheep goats and hogs along or upon
any public s"tree alley :or any public place, without first obtaining per-
mission in writing therefore from the. mayor of the C ity of Petaluma, and
in the event of the absence of the mayor, the obtaining of said permit from

The condition of t;he bridge on Bridge Street. was discussed and the City
Engineer made a report as to its condition;, also the cost. The matter was
'referred to 'the, 'Street" Committee for further inves:tigati,on,.
The City Attorney and City Engineer were asked to investigate the
ordinances governing Streetand sewer improvement and report back.
The matter of the culvert�on Sunny Slope Ave. was Aiscussed at length
and was referred to the'City Attorney and•City'Engineer to determine just
hot much of the bridge was inside the city limits.
