Regular meeting of the Council of the. Cite of Petaluma called to order
by Mayor Sales..

Councilmen present; Allen, Farrell, McCargar, Riewerts, Van Bebber and
Mayor Saleso,
Councilman absent; Batchelor.
READIITG OF ` THE JOURNAL:
The minutes of the last regular meeting of September 17th were read and
approved a6 recorded..
REPORTS OF CITY,OFFICERS:
The monthly report of the City Wharfinger, Poundmaster and Auditor were
read and filed. Also the estimate of the City Engineer for a six inch
pipe sewer on Broadway Street, read and filed.
REPORTS 'OF S`;TANDING COMMITTEES
The Finance C:ommitte.e its re,p,ort of numerous claims against
the City and Councilman Van,Bebber introduced and Councilman MaCargar
seconded the following resolution, to -wit:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Aud itor be and lie is hereby directed to draw -
warrants against the City Funds in payment of the claims allowed and approv-
ed by the Finance Committee. Adopted.by 6 affirmative votes; 1 absentee,
Councilman Allen verbally` reported on the Bridge St. bridge and it was
decided that the Councilmen would personally inspect the bridge next day,
Councilman Allen -als.o gave the report o f the surveyor in regard to the
Sunny Slope bridge, which the surveyor determined was 3 feet inside the
City Limits.

The resignation of N. S,. Frost, as City Engineer,was read and filed.
The application of the police officers for raise in salary was read
and filed.
INTRODUCT.IQN OF ORDINANCES
An.ordinance accepting Edith Street; Vallejo Street; Sixth Street; Hayes
Avenue,,; English Street and Broadway Street was introduced by Councilman
Farrell and approved by the City Attorney and ordered posted.

Ordinance 1�0. 229 C. S* came up regularly adoption, said ordinance
regulating the construction,, alteration or repair of buildings for business
purp ses in the City of Petaluma in certain designated districts, and was
adopted by the following vote; AYE'S Allen, Farrell, IvIcCargar, Riewerts,
Van ,Bebber and Dlayor Sales; Noes none,; Absent 'Batchelor.
NEW BUSIN:S
The matter of sewer laterals on 5th Street was referred to the Street
Committee for investigation.

ing that the salaries of the Bridge lenders hereafter be paid out of the
