Councilmen present; Allen, Farrell, raIcCarger, RieNert , Van Bebber and 'Mayor Sales Absent Councilman Batchelor. The Clerk .read the 1vlayor's Call for the meeting and. the Clerk certified that he had serfed the same on each Councilman as required by law. The call stated that the meeting was for the purpos of taking necessary action for bonding the city for new fire equipment, lot and building; for introducing an ordinance accepting Douglas 'Street; an ordinance repealing various license ordinances; anew license ordinance; and an ordinance accepting 5th Street; also for passing :a resolution ordering warrant. drawn, in favor.of the American Dredging.Co for dredging the river. INTRODUCTION. OF ORD,ITdANCES introduced by Gounc'i•lman Farrell, seconded by Councilman I , accepting the roadway of Douglas Street from the southerly line of Post Street to the northesly line of Fair Street, approved by the City Attorney and ordered posted. An ordinance accepting the roadway of Fifth Street from the easterly line of "'B" Street to 'the westerly line of "F" Street, introduced by Councilman Allen., seconded by Councilman 'Riewerts, approved by the City Attorney and ordered posted. An ordimnce repealing ordinance No. 4, C . S. entitled,' An ordinance to license and regulate certain business hereafter spaci- fired, transacted or carried on within The corporate limits of the City of Petaluma, Calif. introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded'by Councilman Van Bebber, approved by the City Attorney and ordered posted. An ordinance to :license and regc)late certain business, hereafter specified, transacted or carried on within the corporate limits of the City of Petaluma, California,- fixing the rate of license tax upon the same and providing for the collection of said license tax, and punish- ment for carrying 'on such business without a license, and for violat- ing the provisions hereof, and - repealing all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, introduced by Councilman Rie.werts, seconded by Councilman Alien, approved by the City Attorney and ordered published. !-resolution #2=860 0. S,- introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Counci'lman.Van Bebber, directing the Auditor to draw a warrant in the sum of �93803.84 in favor of the Amer.ican.Dredging Company in payment of bill rendered for dredging the Petaluma River, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, one absentee..
