Adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma, called to
order by Mayor Sales.

Councilmen present; Allen, Batchelor, Farrell, Riewerts, Van Bebber,
McCargar and Mayor Sales.

Report from the Board of Fire Commissioners submitting their
adopted budget for new Fire apparatus read and filed..
INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES
Introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Van Bobber,,
r.epealing Ordinance No. 243, C..S.., approved by the City Attorney and
ordered posted.
Introduced by Councilman McCargar, seconded by Councilman Batchelor,
ordering the opening and widening of "G" Street, and appointing three
commissioners to assess benefits and damages and to have general super.-.
vision of the proposed work, approved by. the City ;Attorney and ordered

rescinding Resolution.of Intention No. 2855 C. S. concerning the opening
of Sixth Street, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.

introduced by Councilman Allen, seconded by Councilman Riewe directing
the Auditor to draw warrant:in favor of Howe & Peters in the sum of
as initial payment on sewage system survey.
The Street Committee was directed to investigate the gutter on'
Keller Street .r..ith power to act.
Petition for an electric light on D Street between Tenth and.Laurel,
Avenue was referred to.the Street Committee with pourer to act.
The Superintendent of Streets - was directed to repair certain streets
torn up by utility companies.
. The City Engineer was directed to have constructed a section of
concrete sidewalk 30 feet. long along I4lain Street at Martha Street..
Two members of the Park Commission yore present and brought up the
matter of improving the gore at Liberty, Bassett and Howard Streets and
the Engineer was directed to furnish an estimate at the next meeting for
gutter and curb. The delegation also asked for better lighting of the
parks and the matter was referred to the Street Committee to take up with
the Park Board. The Park Commissioners introduced Mre Spellacy,, tree
specialist' who gave' a talk on the condition of the tree's at the va "rious
parks, sta;ing that s ome of.said trees were in bad shape and needed atten-
tion. The Park Conunissioners hesitated about going ahead with this ' work
until re- assured by the C,it`i Council that the expense would be taken care
of. '
The Fire Commissioners and Building & Grounds Committee were given
ADJOURNMENT until next Monday evening to have full data afdd figure's *in
rehousing of the fire apparatus. ,
