The Finance Committee -rendered its report. of numerous claims against
the City and. Co zncilmair'McCargar introduced and Councilman Van Bebber
seconded, the following re.solut,ion.,, to -wit:
Resolution #289'5 C
BE .IT RESOLVED THAT The. Auditor be, and 'lie is -hereby directed to draw
warrants against the various .City Funds in payment of claims allowed and
approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
ADOPTION OF 40RD:IN :
rd "finance N 246 C.S. introduced by Councilman Farrell-, seconded
by Councilman Van Bebber amending ordinance No. 36, Charter Series,
entitled, "An ordinance regulating awnings and signs 'in the City of
Petaluma, and repealing ordinance number 12 C.S, came up regularly for
adoption and was adopted by the following votes Ayes, Allen, Batchelor,
Farrell, McCargar, Riewerts, Van Bebber and Mayor Sales.

The matter of
the improvement of
Howard- St. was'disonssed and the
Supt. of Streets was
directed to post.notices.of
improvement.
Councilman Van
Bebber, Farrell and
IvIcC'ar,gar were appointed a
committee of three
to confer with the
City Engineer in re his compensation
for work and time
spent in behalf of
the city,
'Vje,ssrs ' Maclay,Gossage and Gwinn were present and addressed the
Counci•l,in behalf of lights for the new hotel and the Street Committee
was given powe tb act in the matter of placing temporary lights around
the hotel as soon as. passible..
IJ1r. Hal I l j of the Central Labor Council,, together with 11r. - Yeaman.,
addre the.Council asking that some rock be donated for their new
building,. The City Attorney and City Clerk were instructed to determine .
the amount of money left "in the, me -y Fund and if it would be legal -
to donate this rock.
The City Attorney reported that bond in re Douglas Street would be
ready April 15th.
The matter of the dare legsJduppingio- fs'all sorts of garbage at the
Sewer - 'Farm was discussed at length and the City Attorney was instructed
to draw "up,not'i.ces regulating the same, said notices to be posted in
conspicuous'. places at the -farm.
Councilman Farrell suggested the placing of a semaphore at the
corner of Was and Main Street as 'an aid to traffic and.. same was
referred to the Street Committee for investigation and report.
