. The Mayor called attention to the danger of the loose gravel
that is often scattered along the side infront of the various oil
stati - ons;'and the City Uerk wasinstru(ited to write the companies on this
subject ia . otifying,them that they will be responsible for any damage done
in the. future.
It was regularly moved and carried that the resignation of the
City Attorney take effect on.'March 24th.
ljri Fa-rqua-r was present and addressed the Council in re Washing-
ton Stroetand,D Street Bridges, stating that the piles or dolphins
are lmpr&perly placed and that signal lights were not displayed accord-
ing to Government regulations. The Superintendent of Streets and City
Engineeri instructed to make the necessary repairs to the bridge
4-hile was referred to the Street Committee with power to
act
It was regularly moved and carried that the Fire Board have

The City Clerk reported 0150.00 left in. the 'Promot .on and
Entertainment Fund and on motion'regularl.y made and - carried $10:0.00
was donated to the Labor Councillor the purpose of buying crushed rock
for their new Labor Temple.
Health Officer Rogers addressed the Gouncil.stating that -the-
state building inspector was'her'e recently and demanded a: suitable fire
escape on the Gutermute L lolling house on E.. Washington St. Referred.to
the Fire board to have the matter attended to at. once.
Various other matters were inf'ormaily discussed.
