HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 09/04/1994600 September 4th, 1924. Adjourned meeting, of the -Council of the City of Petaluma called to order by Mayor Sales. ROLL. CALL: Councilmen present; Allen,. Farrell,. Riewerts, Van Bebber and !Mayor Sales. Absent Councilmen Batchelor and Button. NEW BUSINESS Councilman Allen reported that' arrangements had.been made to sewer the Adsit property into the private sewer which takes care of the church sewer in the same block. The necessity of laying a seeder from Feller to Liberty Streets is therefor done away with. Resolution X3.009 C.S. introduced by Councilman Allen, seconded by Councilman xieuerts, directing the City Engineer to prepare plans and specificati -ons for a sewer beginning at the point of intersection of I and 5th Street; running thence along the center line of 5th Street to.the center line of "J" Street; thence along the center line of "J" Street to a manhole_ at the -po int of intersection of the center line of "J" Street with the center line of Sixth Street, adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees, whereupon,the City Engineer submitted plans and specifications cover- ing the above described sewer,. and Resolution I3010 C.S.- introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Allen - , approving and adopting said plans and specifications waseadopted by 5 affirmative votes., 2 absentee -s, and Resolution of Intention -;3011 C.S. introduced by Councilman Allen, seconded by Councilman Riewerts, ordering the work done and improvements made was adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees. The City Engineer reported that the concrete sidewalk in Last Petaluma for which the railroad - - is responsible had been laid by the street department at the expense of the railroad company', the work being now completed. Report accepted. The traffic ordinance which was introduced at the last regular meeting was brought up and discussed at length but no changes made and the ordinance was again ordered published.
