REPORTS 'QF­ CTTY OFFICERS,:• The'montYly` report's of the Auditor, Treasurer and Wharfinger were read and filed. The Clerk reported the tailing of-Affidavit of Publication re Notice to Bidders for retaining wall on Thompson Creek. ing The City Engine submitted revised specifications for construct - sewe ewers on I Street between 5th and 6th and on 5th Street between I and J. Filed. Also plans and specifications for paving with concrete American Alley. Filed. The - Clerk reported two bills of long standing which were referred to the City Attorney for collection. American Alley The matter of placing underground the electric wires in American Alley was discussed at length, representatives from the power and telephone ;companies addressing_ the Council on the subject, and it was decided to 'abandon the plan- place the wires underground and leave them as they are 'at present. After a.further discussion as to the paving of American. Councilman Van Bebber re ported a leaky, roof over the fire department battery room. .Referred to the building and - grounds committee with power to ,act. Councilman xiewerts reported one of the electralies on Main .Street in bad condition. Referred to the Street Committee . for repair. Mr. Cochrane addressed - the'Council in regard to the repairing % of Mt. View Avenue, stating that the street Was in good condition until used by the City as a detour while Main & 3rd Street was being improved. The matter was referred to the Street, Committee to take' up with Super- visor Hart. City ;Attorney Howell explained to : the Council the state law regulating the use of airships over- "cit"ies stating that they are re - quired to have a license number -the same as other vehicles. A Vallejo firm asked permis to install an advertising sign on y'�ash`ington tStreet near Main. Referred to the building and grounds committee with power to act.
