October 19th, 1925.
Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor Sales.

Van Bebber and Mayor Sales.
READING, OF THE JOURMAL
The minutes of the last regular meeting of October 5th were
read and approved as recorded.
. REPORTS OF CITY OFFICIALS:
The Clerk reported that the lease on the Sewer Farm, between
J. T.. N;oriel and the City o.f Petaluma will expire November 1st, 1925.
This was later brought up under the head of new business and referred
to the Buildings and Grounds Committee to confer with Mr. Noriel.
The Clerk also reported that plans and specifications for the
sewage system had been filed by Messrs,. Howe and Hyde.

The Finance Committee rendered its report of numerous claims
against the whereupon
Resolution x3198 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, second by Councilman Glahn,
directing the Auditor to draw warrants against the various City Funds
in payment of claims allowed and approved by the Finance Committee,
adopted by 7 affirmative vote
Councilman niewerts reported that the road to the city dumps
had been repaired and is now in good condition.
The Mayor reported having interviewed the Bridge lenders in
an endeavor to arrange for an exchange of duty.so that each could
have time off but as no satisfactory arrangement could be made the
matter was dropped.
The 'City Attorney filed a written opinion as to the legality
of the :claim of Ifie Howe & Hyde for services in the preparation
of .detailed plans and specifications for the proposed sewer system
for the `C'ity of Petaluma.

The intro•duct:on of the zoning ordinance was again continued.
NEW BUSINESS
C'eri ral Avenue: On motion. by Councilman Farrell, seconded by
Councilman Van Bebber, the hearing against the assessment on Central
Avenue: was continued until the next meeting.,
Resolution #3199 C:S.
introduced by Councilman Jessen, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber,
appointing Marie A.. Howell a member of the Board of Library 'Trustees,
adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Resolution #3200 C.S.
Sewage Plans;
introduced by Councilman Riewerts, seconded by Councilman Ingerson,
approving and adopting the plans and specifications as prepared by
Messrs. Howe and Hyde and filed with the City Clerk, adopted by 7
affirmative .votes-e
Resolution #'3201 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded 'by Councilman Van Bebber,
transferring the sum of 01800.00 from the Rock Crusher :;und to the
Cieneral Fund, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Resolution #3202 O.S
introduced by Councilman hiewerts, seconded - by Uouncilman Inge-rson,

directing the- - Auditor to draw a warrant in favor of S. E. Adams, in
the sum of �8.8.50 for the furnishing of labor on work done on
Thompson. Cree4 adopted by `7 affirmative votes.
Howard St.. & Mt ..View Ave.:
The matter of temporarily repairing the Howard Street exten-
sion and Mountain View Avenue from 3rd St. to the City Limits was
discussed - length, the two streets being badly in need of repair®
Referred to the Street Coiunittee for investigation and report at the
next meeting.
The City Engineer was authorized to make a survey of the city
lot on .4th St. between F and G Streets.
The matter of preparing a suitable room . for ..the .Police Judge
was discussed and left to the Buildings and Grounds Committee with
power to act
The application of the Pacific Gas and Electric 'Co,- for
permission to stretch a banner across Main Street was referred to the
Mayor.
The ad,ceptanae of the street through Batche,l'or _Terrace. was
discussed at'length; it being the consensus of opin on'that it should
be put in good condition and a barriei erected at the-end of the blind_
street before the City accept it as a street.. On motion by
Councilman J.essen, seconded by Councilman Glahn the matter was - left
over until the next meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion regularly made and carried the meeting adjourned
until Friday evening, October 23rd, at 7:;30. P.M.
