REPORTS OF STANDING COtdAITTEES The Finance Go��im'ittee rendered its report of numerous claims against the City whereupon Resolution # :3211 C.S. ;= introduced by Councilman Jessen, . seconded by Councilman Glahn, direct- ing the Auditor to• draw v -varrant-s -again st the various City Funds in payment• o:f, c'lairris allowed and approved by 'the Finance Committee, adopted by 7' affirmative votes. The Committee appointed to investigate and. "report ,on.-curb gasoline and oil pumps •reported in , rlriting . Filed , PETITIOVS AND : GO MIUNICATIONS .Petition from propert owners on Horth 'We'bster -Street for permission to connect the sewer on North Webster Street with the intersection of the sewer line ,on F'Ye ste rn Avenue read :and filed. INTRODUCTION O F ORDINANCES: _Ordinance Ito. 286 C.S. introduced by Councilman Van Bebber, seconded by Councilman Farrell, `being an ordinance of the City of Petaluma providing for the lease of the C ity Sewer Farm, was read, approved by the City Attorney and ordered posted. Ordinance No. 287 C.S. introduced by Councilman Farrell, seconded, by Councilman Jasse`n, being an ordinance accepting Broadway from the s outheasterly line of Dana Street to the northwesterly line of English Street in the City of Petaluma„ was read, approved by the City Attorney and - o rd-e re.d . publi she d ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: 'Ordinance No. 285 C. S. introduc °ed by Councilman Farrell, seconded by Councilman Van Bebber, providing for the sale of certain public property located on 4th Street, near . "G" Street 'T'his being th.e time set for the hearing of .protests against the assessm6nt for the improvement of "G" Street and none having been filed, Resolution #32'1 C;,S* introduced by Councilman ;Riewerts, seconded by Councilman-- Ingerson, confirming proceedings and ordering warrant was adopted by 7 affirmative votes. After the above resolution had been•adopted - -H. H. Tagga -rt, a property owner on "G` Street,addressed, the Council stating that he had no protes t.against the contractor's work but did object to the engineer- ing world on said street, claiming that he is .damaged to the amount of 066.00.,E The matter was referred to the .Street Committee to i -nvestigate and report at the next meeting. The tvlayor reported a complaint relative to a fence along Thompson Creek at 418 Fifth Stre Referred-to the Street Committee. J. Dupon of the East Petaluma Improve'rnent Club, addressed the Council,, requ.e,sting that the old. name=s of kdams and Bremen be removed from the streets and the new name -s of East, "Y' and 'Wilson be substituted. Refe to the Street Superintendent and Street Committee. The report of the committee' on curb pumps was discussed at length Councilman Farrell being_ of the, opinion that a limit should be specified as to the number of gasoline pumps to be. allowed.
