Zartinan.

The Clerk called the roll and the fcllofving
members answered to their names; 'Councilmen Walsh,
Gossage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradling and Mayor
Zartman. Absent: Couh- cilman Healey.
A quorum being pre Mayor announced

Be it resolved that the foregoing report of the
finance committee be and the sage is.hereby adopted and the
Auditor
is hereby directed to draw his warrants ih payment
of said claims; under the power and authority conferred
upon this Council by the Charter of said City,

PETITIONS AND COl!1MUNICATIONS
A petition was read from the property owners
on Payran Street asking for a sewer on said street.
The matter -was referred to the Street Committee to
investigate.
A communication was read from the Womans'
Christian Temperance Union of Petaluma thanking the
Council for their action in closing side doors to
saloons, etc. Filed.

said Clerk, that Ordinance No. 5, Charter S•e'ries, the.
game being "An ordinance defining the seat of govern-
ment of'the City of Petaluma, and locating the offices
of the city officers thereof ", has been duly publish—
