Minutes of an adjourned meeting of the Council_ of the
City of Petaluma, called to order by IJayo.r. Zartman.
DOLL CALL.
.The Clerk called the roll and the following members
answered to their names. Counci.hmen Walsh, Fredericks, Kercheval
Gossage, Healey and Mayor Zartman.
Absent Councilman Stradling.
READLING OF THE JOURNAL.
The reading of the journal of the .adjourned meeting of
Sept 5th, was read and 'approved a& .reEorded.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
The Clerk presented Street Improvement Bond No. 1
Series 100 for Keokuk street work and. Done No. 3.Series 9 for
East Washington Street and reported both paid in full.. The
usual cancellation' and filing order was made.
CO MM',ITTEE REPORT.
Street commiitt.ee reported having completed repairs
on Washington Street Bridge and the hitch rails work on Mary
Street is under way. c'Gommittee having already reported on
•
the se::rer work .asked for on Payran Street, viould make no
further recommendations on that subject. Filed.
C0141MUNICATION'S AND 'P,+,TITIONS.
A protest received from five property holders on
Payran Street against - the ordering o•f sewe:r on said Street.
Same was filed.
A commun cation was received from; the Board of
Fire Commi,szioners, to the- effect that sa Board had granted
the Fritch Co., to cover: frame building at Kentucky and
Washington Street with llalt'hcid Roofing instead of shingles.

Introduced by Councilmlan H.H.Kercheval at an ad–
journed meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma
on the 13th day of Sept 191,1.
Be it Rescl that.the City Engineer be and he is hereby
directed to prepare specifications for the Improvement of Edith Steet,
from' the southeasterly line of vrashington. Street to the northcaesterly
line of East D. Street, under the power anti, authority conferred upon
this Council by the 'Charter of said City.

Be it resolved that Edith Street fr6m the southwesterly
line of Washington Street to the northwesterly line of East L
street, be and the same is hereby ordered improved and that the
property owners along said line of improvement, so ordered be
and they are hereby permitted to do said improvement by private
contract under the laws and. ordinances governimg said woljrk ac.c ord'ing,
to specifications on file, under the power and authorz.ty corf'exred'
. upon this Council -by the'Charte,r of SaAd City.

Introduced by Mayor Zartman at an adjourned meeting of
the City Council-of the City of Petaluma on the 13th day of Sept 1911.
THE. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA do hereby RESGLVF that
the Pacific Gas & Electric Company, a corporat•ion, now maintain—
ing. poles with wires appended thereto and. fastened th..erecn for
the purpose of conducting electricity in said city in the Streets
and places thereof, be and they are hereby required and directed to
forwith cause to be removed. the f'olloWirig poles with wires thereon
to—wit. All poles, and wires of said Pacific Gas & Electric Co, , 'a 'k
Corporation, now being upon, a.nd .r.:aintained upon Lot 38 in the City
of Petalurr:a, as laid down upon Stra.ttons Map of the said Ci.tyz And
said Pacific Gas and Electric Co., is directed to remove s * aid wires
and poles and place the sane so that they shall be located upon the
north side of H'• Street, commencing, at the northwest corner of the
intersection of H Street and First .Street, and thence westerly along
the northerly line of H street to Second Street; thence at right angles
and along the.Easterly line of Second Street. Said poles to be placed
at-the direction of the Supt., of Streets and the work per.forrr,ed in
such manner as directed by the said Supt., of Streets, in accordance
1„iith the ordinances end resolution of this .City. And the said
Pacific Gas and Electric Company As hereby directed to remove. all poles
and wires by them placed or maintained on Lot 35 in said City' of Pe'talum.
This- Resolu.t -ion is based pursuant to Section V of Ordinance'
No. 19.1, new series and Ordinance No. 163 new series and purs uant `to
general powers in said Council.
The Gity Clerk of said City of Petaluma, is hereby directed
to serve upon said Pacific Gas & Electric Company, a. copy of this
res,olut.i o:n.
