ROLL CALL: The Clerk called the roll' and the following members answered. to their names; Councilmen Walsh,Gossage Frederick Fercheval, 'Stradling, Healey and 17ayor 7a.rtman. The City Treasurer rende e tjc ;r�!.:t for the month of Sept 1.911, Total amount received. $668.20 applied to different funds as follows. General Fund, $83.6,50; Park, Fuhd $15.00; Una- pport-ioned, $16.70. The City Auditor rend.ereci',a report showing the following amount on hand Sept. 30th in several funds. General Fund, $398.04; River Fund, 41 Library Fund, $1176.78., School Bond Fund, $36.92; Park Fund, $300.40; Una.pport- ioned $16.70. Total amount $23.05.20.. Rodgers, Sec. of the U.P.E.@ inviting the, layor and City Council and Officers' to part ici"p�ta", in - the seneral Celebration of their 25th Annual Convention, Same was aecepted irr.ith thanks. A communication fron F. and. E.J..Niekson regarding the condi.t •on of Sixth Street Bridge.( Thompson Creek) . Same was referred: to the Street Copinittee. for report. 4'6 V A communication from the- Board of H;ea.lth reported that a seiner .along Pyran Street and thence along Washi St., to the intersection of Mary Street is necessary for the.- im- provement od sanitary concaitions, -and recommend: same to be con_ etructed as soon as possible. The City Enginevr H.A.Hubbard, reported that 'a sew.or on the above named. streets is, feasible and could. get .a better grade than the present Washington Street sever. Several property 'owners along the line of Pyran. Street again prpsented .a petition asking th-e city to order the work don¢ on the above named street. On motion, of Councilman Gossage Seconded 'by Councilman t I'erche:val the Council granted the petioners the perm ,ssion to construct said sewer according to the City .Specifications at private contract, Commun�.cation from H. McNulty asking permies to . open I Street opposite 4t,h for the purpose o� construct ng server c- connection. Granted- by the following resolution. RESOLUTION NO,..140 C.. S. Introduced by Councilman JI'ercheval at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the 2nd day of Oct. 1911. He it resolved that H. Mc,NI1.1ty is and is hereby grant- ed permiss'ion to open I Street opposite. 4th and Liberty Sts. near Galland for the purpose of sewer connection to be done ,under the supervission- of Street Suet, unc,.er the power an(I. authority conferred, upon this Council by the. S:. Coseage at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of p eta :luma,on the 2nd day of Oct. 1911. Be it resolved that the Street Supt. be and he is hereby -directed to enforce Section 5 of Ordinance 22, relative to tl;L-c removal of all. grass and weeds and obstructions upon all eidt walks within the City of Petaluma,under the power and authorit y conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Noes; None r Absent: None. ` RESOLU•TION NO.142 C.S. Introduced by Councilman D.J.Healey a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the "2nd day of Oct 1911. Be it resolved that Wm. Kalish herefore employed as expert accountant be and his services are discontinued, under the poi.ier and authority conferred upon this "Council by the Charter of said City. NEW BUSINESS,., Mayor Zartm started that certain local parties have made, an offer for the street sk offer to haul them in return for the sweepings. Referred to street Committ to arrange matters. Councilman Walsh brought Lip -the matter of the delay of the Electric Co., in the removing of the poles on the City property accunied �b_.y the Corliss Ga. s Engine: Co., On mot'ior-. W; of Councilman Walsh Seconded by Councilman Healey the Street Committee was directed to notify said Comp.ahy to at once remove its polee ; linas, etc, from the said property. So Ordered. Junk. Dealers appeared before the Co.unci -I relative to their licenses and; on motion of Councilman Walsh, Seconded by Councilman Strauling it was decided to ammiend the Ordinance reducing the Junk Dealers Licens.e to $5..00 per Quarter instead of ;10.00 as at present. The Clerk was instructed to issue the licenses for the present quarter for 11N5.00 pending the airmiending.. So ordered. A DJ OURNNENT ., On motion of Councilman:,,. S'ec.onded by Councilman A.A.
