Be it Resolved that the Claim of $12 presented by the
Pac. Gas. & EL. Co. be and the same id hereby rejected. under the
power and auth °ority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of
said City.

STREET COMMITTEE.
Councilaan' Gossage stated that Councilman Kerchevel
Str.adling and himself had inspected the streets in the Hill , side
tract and found the work fairly good but that a poor Job had been
done on the curbing. Filed.
PETITIONS AND COEMUNICATIONS..
A communication w.a:s read from J. E.17ord of Los Angeles
telling of his patents covering the oiling process for streets
and that the royaltie's were paid to him if the prociess was used.

A Communication' was read from the Reliance automobile Co
od San Francisco offering a Knoll motor driven fire apparatus which
has been used for some time in cd.emonstra.tions' a.t a reduction of
about 1.500.00. Filed.
I, Communication was received from Frank Meyer relative to
property at the coffiner of Walnut and Oak•Streets. On March 5th 1306
F. Heseker deeded 10 ft of hie property to the City for a street
but the City never made the deeds to property owners on Walnut
Between Prospect and Oak Streetsz Ref..to Cty.Atty. Filed.
A Petition received from a number of property owners that
a hydrant be placed at the corner of durst and D. Sts.

A Communication was received from H.LeCam recommending
that a sewer be built on Fourth St., from the intersection of Fourth
and I' St. a. t•hp petition was not in the proper form no action
wa taken

Gentlemen:
At a meeting at. the City Hall on the-evening
of Jan, 29th 1912 by the citizens of this Municipality the
f'ol:lowing resolutions was adopted*: " Be it resolved that it is
the sense of this meeting, in view of the fact of inadequate 11111rib
service, that your body be requested, to procees immediately to
perfect and consur:;mate the .necessary plans for the acquistion of
a peeper plant for fire protection. A.S.Newburah Sec.Filed.

The Mayor .stated that the prop:e-rty,.on Mountain View Ave
had asked the City to give financial aid in building New Street.
Xhe matter of placing a thirt tw -o candel electric light on the
corner of Main and Brigge St. and also the ir:atter of culvert on
Cherry St were refs`ed to the stteet Committee.
The Mayo stated that thte'r had been many complaints
about hand bills being placed in yards and door bells rung by boys

The Mayor notified the Chief of Police to investigate and have

City Attorney Hall addressed. the Council rel to 'the
street oiling process, and from the facts given by . the attorney
the City could now proceed with the work of oiling the local
streets without fear of suits with people who claim to have

Be it Resolved th:=.t a committee of three be and the same
is hereby .appointed fore the purpose of making the necessary arr-
angements for the establishment of a plant to build oil-macadam
streets, under the power and authority conferred upon this Council
by the Charter of said City.

Be it Resolved that this Council meet on t'he evening of
Monday` Feb 12,1912, at 7.30 P.M. in the Coun.ci:l Chambers at the
City Hall, for the purpose of receiv sufficient; evidence a.nd .
infor.mati.on.as to enable said Council to establish the rates to be
charged by the several Public Service Corporat,i,ons for the services
rendered for the fiscal year beginning July ist 1012. And that
the City Clerk be and he, is hereby instructed to give notice of-4c,

Fire Chf.Adams addressed the Council in reference the ,.
new Fire escape at the High School. He suggest that the water
main be o:onnected" with the stand pipe, a lenght of hose .could thex,
be connected up and the school would have good Fire protection
the Council agreed to look into the.matter when they fr sit the

'The theatre license issued to the Mystic Theatre was
by motion of the Counii cancelled and the Auditor was instructed '.
to issue a new 13 ense covering theatre and Moving picture show

the present street cor. to look into the matter of building
a plant for the heating of theroil for the streets.,Comir.ittee was
