ROLL CALL Deputy The Clerk called the roll and the following Councilmen answered to their names: Walsh, Gossage, Fredericka, Kercheval., Stradling,. Healey, and Mayor Zartman. Absent: None. REPORTS OF OFFICERS 1 Mr., Art. S. Newburgh acting in the absence of the City Clerk read his appointment and oath of offic as deputy city clerk, and the same were filed. The annual report and iterrilzed .statement of expenses, receipts and disbursements of .the Pacific States Telephone Company was reported on hand by the clerk and same having been examined by the counci.l prior to the meeting, it was ordered filed. RESOLUTION NO. 240, C. S. Introduced by Councilman D. J. Hdaley at an adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the 29th day of February, 1912. . Be it Resolved that the resident citizens of our new sister, the Republic of China,-be and they are hereb y permitted to celebrate the birth of the Republic by pyrotechnical display on Sunday, Mar. 3rd, 1912, at such times and under and by direction of the Chief Engineer of the,Fire Dent. and under such conditions as are provided in the ordinances relating to pyrotechnical displays, - under the power and authority conferred upon.this Council by the Charter of said Cit D. J. Healey. Seconded by H. H..Kercheval. J 14 a Vote. Ayes: Councilmen Walsh, Goseage, Fredericks, Kercheval, . St.radling, Healey and Mayor Zartman. Noes: None. Absent: None. RESOLUTION NO. 241 C. S. 0 Introduced by Councilman Stradling at an adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the 29th day of February, 1912. Be it Resolved that Resolution No. 235, C. S. adopted by this Council of the City of Petaluma on Feb. ,� y . eb. ].3 1912 be and he same is hereby rescinded revoked, , vacated and set aside, — un,der the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Introduced by Councilman Strad`ling at an adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of' Petaluma on the '29th day of February., 1912. Be it Resolved that the City Clerk of the City of Pe- taluma be and he is hereby directed to advertise for bids for the lighting of streets, alleys andmunicipal buildings of the City of Petaluma for the fiscal year beginning July-1, 1912, according t,ot the following schedule, too -wit: For incandescent 32 candle power :lights all night service, rate per month for each light. For 60 C. P. Tungsten lights, all night servfte, .ate per month for each light. For arc lights of 2000 candle power each, commercial rating, all night service, rate per month for each light,. I j'STIIJ Electric current per K. W. H. for lighting and power purposes. All renewals to be.put in at the cost and expense of the successful bidder. All extensions to be made under the direction of the Council and at the cost and expense of the success— ful bidder. All lights to be placed at points designated by the Council and at the expense of the successful-bidder. All night service is hereby designated to mean that period of time between.30 minutes after sunset and 30 minutes before•sunrise. The City of Petaluma by and through its council reserves the right to reject any and all bids; under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. e W. C. Be it Resolved that -the City Engineer be and he is hereby instructed to make a survey of the lot at the corner of let and • H Streets.; :under- the power , and authority conferred upon this Council b y the Charter of said City. Be it Resolved that all matters relating to the consideration and establi,ehment of Public Utility Rates be and the same is continued to th.e next regular meeting of this Council;® under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
