Minutes of regular meeting of the Council of the City .Of Petaluma, Mayor Zartman. presiding.. 117 The Clerk called the Roll and the following members answered to their names, Councilman Gossage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradling, Healey, and Mayor Zartman. Absent'Councilman Walsh. 1 READINIT OF JOURNAL. The minutes of the regular meeting of Feb 19th, and adjournd meetings of Feb, 23rd and Feb 29 were read and approved as recorded. REPORT OF OFFICERS. The City. Attorney Hall reported on the matter .of the, ten ft. of land on Walnut street abandoned.in making the width of the street uniform. He stated that the City cannot legally deed said strips `Eo s the property owners and that. Attorney Meyer for said property oweners agrees,with him to that subject. He stated that both had, however agreed- on a rr.ode of ,procedure tr straighten out said matter. Police Judge Dillion report showed that he collected the sum of 40, in- fines for . Februar.y. FIRED. The Treasurer repo ---,-t of the mou nth of February showed a collection of 262..90, A credit to the General Fund. Amount on hand Credit to the Various funds as follows. For arc lights of two thousand (2000) candle-power each, commercial rating, all night service, rate er month for each 1. ghl, Five dollars and seventy five cents ( For electric cu-rrent per -kilo-watt hour f.or lighting purposes, at the rate of three and one half (34) cents per kilo -watt hour . ; For electric current e kilo-wa.tt for power' purposes, at the rate of" two f �l cents per kilo -watt hour. -All renewals to. be put in: at the cost and expense - of the succeesful bidder, All extensions to be made under the direction of the Council and at the cost and expense of 'the successful bidder. All ni ht service is hereby designated to mean that period of time between (30) minutes after sunset and thirty (''30) minutes before sunset. The undersigned hereby bids and offers -to furnish all or any part or parts o;f the service, respectively, herein- above described, at the rates, respectively, hereinabove sPecified, at the option of said Council of said City of Petaluma, ThePacific Gass and Electric Co. Be it resolved that the bid of the Pacific Gas. and El.. Co for the lighting the City of Petaluma for the fiscal year 1912.1913 the carne being the lowest bid submitted to this Council be and the same is hereby accepted upon the condition, that the said Pac Gas and EI. -Cc. give the bondto the City fo Petaluma in the account of $ 500.0.,00 for the faithful performance of said bid and contract, under the power and—authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Introducted by Council.man H;.4.Kercheval at a regular of the City Council of the Gity of Petaluma on the 4th day of March 1912. Be it resolved that consideration of the establishing of,a rate for furnishing electricty for lighting and power purposes be and the same is hereby postponed until the next regular meeting for further consideration, under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Introducted by Councilman W.C.Stradling at a_ regular meeting of the.City Council of the City of Petaluma on the 4th day of March 19L3 Beit resolved that the City Engineer be and he is hereby directedto prepare Cstmmates for the curbing with basalt concrete gutters an`d macadamizing the roadway of Sixth St. from the southerly lire of C St.to tre Northerly line of I St. excepting therefrom, all curbing now accepted 'to the St. Committee., under the pourer and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
