RESOLUTION 282.
Introducted by Councilman M.Walsh at a regular meeting of the
City of Petaluma on the 15th day of April 1912.
Be it resolved that the report of the Finance Committee
be and the same is hereby adopted and the City Clerk and Auditor
is hereby directed to draw warrants in payment of said claims,
under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by
the Charter of said City.

The humane society protested against certain moving picyures
which are shown in local theatres same was referred to the
boatd of censors.
L.Orth appeared and stated that the Health Board had
ordered sewer on Fourth Street between G. and H. Street the
same was referred to the Street Committee to investigate and
report back.
In the matter of the Broad way Street sewer as whether
a manhole or lamph;ole is needed the Council definitely
decided in favor of a manhole and it was so ordered.
The hose Company NO. 3 askec for pernament room for
their. hose Cart in the Corporation Yard-the matter was
~ referred to the Committee cn'.Building and Greunds to investigate
Communication from the Fire Underwriters relative to fire

protection day on April 18th 1912. was read and the Clerk
irected to forward copies to the Fire'Chief and School
Principals.

Be it resolved that the plans and specifications for the

and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of
said City.

Be it resolved that Whereas public needs and
conveniences demands that cement sidewalks be constructed upon
the east side of Col Street from the south side of
Washington Street to the north side of East D or Adams Street
Be it therefore resolved that the construction of
said sidewalk be and the same is hereby ordered to be done under
thhe direction and supervision of the Superintenda:nt of Streets
and the said Superintend,ant ofm Streets is hereby directe, to
give notice to abutting property o;vnerealong the lines of said
oontemplated improvement to begin the said work within 30 days
from the date -of this resolution, and if the said abutting
property owners fail to corrply with the provisions of this
resolution xithin the time set forth, then and in that event
the said Supe-- rint,endant of Streets shall proceed to do the said
work and, the same shall be charge upon the property of said
abutting ownerv. under the power and authority conferred
upon this Council bu the Chatter of said City.'

Whereas public need and convenience demands that cement
sidewalks be constructed upon the west side'of Copeland Street
from the south side of Washington Street to the north side of
East D. or Adams Street:
Be it therefore resolved that the construction of
said zidellvalk be and the, same is hereby ordered to b done under
th-e direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Streets,
and th.e: -said Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to
give notice to abutting property owners along th line of said

contemplated improvement to begin the said work within 30 da ys
from the date of they resolution, and if the said abutting
propertyowners frail to comply with the provision of this
resolution within the time set forth, then and in that event

conferred upon this Council. by the Chzx of said City.

Be it resolved that the Mayor of theCity of Petaluma, be
and he is hereby authorized and instructed by and under the
provisions of Ordinance No.66 Charter Series adopted April 15th
1912 to enter into a lease for and on behalf of the City with C.
A. Stayner and Sidney F.Spurgeon, the said lease to be for a
period of ten years. with the privilege of ten years more, for the
following described pr.-operty,towit;
Commencing at a. point formedr:by the intersection of the
west side lime of 11 11." Street and the north side line of First Street
marked by an iron gas pipe driven into the ground thence N. 64
.023 W. 10OFt. following the north side line of First Street to a
