The Clerk called the Roll and the following members answered to their mame:s: Councilman 'Walsh, Gossage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradling, Healey and Mayor Zartman. READING OF JOURNAL. The minutes of of an adjourned meeting of April 29th 1912. - vzas read and approved as recorded. REPORT OF OFFICERS. The Clerk presented affidavits of the Petaluma Daily Courier for the•publishing_Ordinances 68,to 72 inclusive. The Clerk proseahted Street Bond. The Clerk re,corted to the Couni.l that the Mayor had S leased for and on behalf of the. 'Cit-y of . Petaluma The lot for Foundry purposes.to Messrs. Stayner °and Spurgeon and that a copy of the lease is on file. JtaLo Winans appeared in b -ehalf of Antietam Relief Corp o,.63 and asked for a donation of � 35.00tbwards defraying the expense of the Memorial day observance on May 30•th.:i W.J.Hickey of the 'Chamber of Comme asked the Council for a donation of '$ 50.00 a month for five months for the purpose of assisting in defraying the expense of the Sunday •afternoon band concerts. The matter was tken under advisement until next Monday evening. E.N.R'ercy representing the Standard'Oil Company addressed the Council on the relative merits of Oil used for Street work He (' greed if the City furnished the sample of Street materials to show by actual demonstrations Just what was required for the oil Street Street Sup.erendent ent was reauest ed to send to San Francisco a sample of the d.i.ferent size rock used for Street purposes. Be it resolved that Ordinance No.63 Chartal Series be and the same is hereby amended as follows t owit : that the port ion ' of Section 1 relating to the price to be charged for lighting purposes be and the same is fixed at-80 ?per K.W. hour. That the portion} of Section 1 providing forxat:mzrimum�;7 price for the furnishing of electricity be and the swine is.hereby stricken out.
