Gig;gey and- Durst for.sprinkling Streets as pe= specificat -ions 8.75 per day. Vim Sylva for sprinkling Street -s as per specf.:ca.tions $ 4.25 pe day of'eight hours for team `of tveo horses and driver. Should the Counc determine that said work b:e done by the hour he bids therefore 4:3¢ per hour for team and r.iriver the bid is made on th exp ressed condition that if' COuncil "ce pt the same at the rate of 43¢ per hour per team and driver that there be a condition n_the contract that he be permitted and allowed to work the said two teams and two drivers not less that t hours. per day. This bid not conforming to specifications before bidders name was read same was on °j mot ion rejected by the folio ring vote. A-yes;- Councilman Vials h. John.Duncan bid for one sprinkling wagon and one team the East 'Petaluma wagon at$4.00 per day.. Frank Leal, f:or *sprinkling Streets $ 8.50 per day. as per ` specifications' on file. F- J,.Hoirup bid for the erection and equipment of an oil plant according to plane and specifications with concrete tanks 1 F .J.Hoirup bid for the erection and equipment of an- oil plant_ according to plans and specifications with a waoden tank'$ 1,357.25 The above bias were ordered filed and on motmon same were laid over for consideration until the next meeting. Pranchise Bid ;l. The Greet Western Power Co. by A.W. Bullard Vice President hereby makesi its bid for franchise as follows_; one p,e cent. of the gross annual receipts received from the use operation or possession of said franchise, during the first five Years two per cent. of said gross annual receipts during t.hve next five years, and ,three pe:r cent of the said gross annual rec -e pt:fi during the rest of the life of said franchise, and a,ccomp'anies its its bid , a certified check for the sum of $500.00 dollars as a guarantee of good faith, and as a fund out of which to pay all expenses connested with the granting of said franchise,. _Vie Coaric hds :time went in't o private session and on reconvening Councilman R.H.Kercheval moved that Pr evious motion to lay bids over' next meeting be resinded same was carried and so ordered. Be it resolved that a certain map entitled " A subdivision of a part of -Lot 558" dedicating a certain street thereon and known'as " Park Ave" 'be and the same is hereby accepted by the Council of the City of Petaluma for an: -on behalf of said City, and the said Park Ave is hereby dedicated to the public use under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Be it resolved that the deed d, ted the 8th day of 1, =ay 1312 A and execuited by Herman Steeve Mary 0. Millington. J.V.Hoffran and Ca.thrine D.Hoffman, his wife. William Frohlking and Wilhemina H. Frolking his wife, Carrie Church and. Inga Nuessler to the City of Petaluma conveying to said City a strip of land 45 feet in width and extending from the northerly si:;'e line Bodega Ave in a. northerly direction through Lot No. 558 to the Public Cemetary formerly knoWnobutanow known as the Oak Hill Plaza the said strip of land known as Park Ave be and the same is hereby accepted by the Council of the City of Peta.lmma for an on behalf of said City and is hereby dedicated to Public use as and for a public highway under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Gas.. & El Co. has instituted a proceeding before the Rail roa.ra Commission of California to prevent the Graet Western Power Co. ffom .engaging in business in the City of Petaluma. Now therefore be it resolved by the City Council of said City of Petaluma, that as the opinion of the said Council the present and future Pubi.ic Convenience and necessity require, and will require, that the Great Western Power Co. be, permitted to extend its lines and system, into the City of Petaluma. Resolved further that the 01 of this Council be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to send a copy" of these Resolutions to Railroad Commission. under the power .and authority conferred upon this. The Mayor called for expressions relative to the new Tungsten Lights on "B'" 'street the same was discussed. The matter was reffered to the Street Committee to furnish a 6'stimate of the number of lights needed and to report at the next meeting, Obstructed Sewer. Councilman.Fredericks called attention to an obstuucted sewer at Howard and Bassett Streets same was referred to Street Committee to investigate -and .report. Supplies Ordered.
