Minutes of ar. a.dj'ourned meeting of the City Council of the City - of
Petaluma of June 10th 1912. . IMayor Zartman, presiding.
ROLL CALL.
The Clerk called the roll- and the following members answered to their
names: Councilman Walsh, Gossage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradling
Healey and Mayor Zartman,
REPORT OF OFFICERS.
Cicty Atty. Hall spoke in relation to the Great Vestern Power
Co. The Co. desiring to have the franchise passed as
origin &llry introducted agreeing to accept in writing, the changes

made by-the Council. It was deeided to amend the ordinance as

Be it resolv that Ordinance No. 73 hereto'fore publ-ished towit,
on:the uSth day of I!tay 1912 be and the same is corrected by st.riching
out section 14, 15 and 16 so that said ordinance will :conform to the

G.P. Near applied for a sreweron Second Street from B Street

buildi on said Street. The matter was discuss at length And on
motion of Councilman the matter was referred to the City
Enginser to ascert if suitable fall could not be secured t ' o order

E.S,.' Blyderrnburgh Filed drawing of a Canvs Canopy on metal frame
which he desired to place infront of the Amereian Hotel. The matter
was d.scuseed but no acion taken.
NEW BUSINESS.
RESOLUTION 11.0. 347.
Introducted by C`Mayot!Zartman Seconded by Councilman D.J.Healey
Be it. 'resolved that the Engineer `b'e and he is hereby directed
to s'urvay Mary Street between the East line of Kehtucky,' and the west
line of :Main Street for the purpose of re— establishing a grade on said
Street, and alsoreport as to the condition of Street and needs as to
improvements.

RESOhUTION NO. 348.
' Int r oduct ed by Mayor Zartman Seconded by Councilman D..'.7.. Healey
WHEREAS all bids fot bhe construction, building and equipment
of An oil macadam plant having been deemed by this Council as excessive
and_ therefore rejected ; Therefore be it resolved that the committee
designated as the department of Public 17orks be and the said Committee
is hereby directed to immediately proceed.to construct build and egmip
said Oil Macadam Plant .

The Mayor called the Council attention to the dry grass in the
vicinity of the powder house at the Cit-ys Crusher and to the danger,
from fire Th,e matter was referred to the Street. Committee.
The Board of Education eras granted the use of the house of-Hose
Co No 2. in East Petaluma as.a polling place for.the high ,school bond
election on �une 24th 1912.
Mr. Zimmerman, gave to the City for Street purposes a strip
of hand and in return received a, piece of land at the other end of
his property asked that the City establish the line so that he may
di spo'se of the property
and deed same. The matter was referred to the
Street Committee and engineer to investigate, and report back so that'
;� the matter can be straightened out.

The City- Atty. was requested to File with the City Council a '
statement of the StatuAseveral suits in which City is interested
Councilman Stradling reported that the pipe at the well al�'
the sewett farm had given out and that it hai been necessary to secure
120 ft. of new pipe which he didt and said action was ratified by
the Council..
