ROLL CALL,.
The Clerk called the roll and the following members answered to
their. names; Counciiman Walsh, Gossage, Fredeaicks, Kercheval,
Stradling,Heale-y and lflayor Zartnian.

REPORT OF OFFICERS.
The Clerk presented the following, affidavits.

The City Attorney made a partial report on t �e status of
the litigation ° in ,�lrhich,the City is interested.
The City Engineer r.eport.ed having made surveys as ordered
and that he in now working on the Mary Street matter.

The City Engineer made a report showing what the City
- ±must deed to F.W.2immerman in order to rectify matters and what
the, later rust deed to the City.
The Clerk was directed to make such conveyance to Mr.
'Zimmerman and to take deed from him.

Councilman Kercheval reported that Clark and Henery Co. had

The matter of the delinquency of a property owner on Union
Street in laying concrete° sidewalks was breugh up. City Atty
Hall reported having taken the matter up with the Atty. for
the Dunn estate who agreed to have said work as soon as possible..

received and accepted.

hereby granted permission to construct a six inch sewer by
private contract from the .manhole in Bremen Street down Madison
Street to Payran Street and foom that point in Payran Street
to a point on Payran Street 348 feet distance from Washington
Street. said sewer to be constructed according to plans and

to the Superintendent of Streets and of the Street Committee

The following bids 'we,re received for the improvement of. Kentucky
Street from Diary Street to. Prospect Street. .

macadamizing 70 per square foot; curbing 172 per linear foot
gutte 18¢ per square f oot
Giggey and Durst, Excavating 27¢ per cubic yard; filling

gutters 17 per sq. foot. .
Sixth Street Contract.

There was but one bid for improveing Sixth street from C Street
to I Street - . It was 'ffom s.e.Adams and was as fo -dows.
Ekcatating 25.0 per cubic yard, filling nothing, macadamizing 6 4"
per sq. foot; curbing 171 per lin. foot; 32.50 each
gutters 18¢ per sq.foot.
Stanley Street CO1 TRACT .
There were two bids on file as follows for improving
Stanley street from .Post to Howard;
S.E. Adams. Excavation,, nothing, filling, nothing,
macadamizing 8 ¢ per foot curbs 1 per linear foot; gutters
18i ¢ per sq. foot.

all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work in said

E Streit ' as referred to the Street Committee with power to

Coune; ilrnan H. S. Gossage .brought 'up the violat of the law
by motor bikers and auto drivers: It was made the sense-of the
Council-that' the laws be info-reed before somebody is killed
Chied Hussler showed that it is impossible for the uniformed
men to catch the offenders and a ton; discussion was held
The Chief stated that the local mahouts cause more trouble
than the visitors. It was finally decided to authorize the
Chief of Police and he is hereby instructed to employ special
and c onst runt speed traps on various Streets. The men are to
receive one half of the fines collected so ordered.
