POLL CALL:
The Clerk ,called the roll- the follo-vv ng members ansriiered
to their murres; Councilman Fredericks, Kerch,eval, Stradl1n °g,,
and Mayor Zart:man. Absent; Councilman Walsh, Gossage, Healey.
The reading, of the minutes of t -he 'previous meeting were postponed.
PETITIONS AND. COMMUNICATEONS.
Petit-ion 'was received from the Corliss Gas Engine Co..,
asking that their premises be wvtcluded in the fire limits,
It was presented- owing to a misunderstanding, and iiias filed wit'hou:t
act ion.
A petition, signed by several, citizens and property owners
urging the Council. to adopt the Gasoline Ordinance No. 81 as it:
now ex-ist.s. Filed.

Be it resolved that, the Cry Engineer of the City of Petaluma,
be, and h(D is hereby ordered t prepar plans and specifications
for the construction of a sewer in said City, in and along the
center fine of Second Street from a point 100 ft,., from the intersection
of G Street with 'Second Street, to and connection with the existing serer
and manhole in .the center line of H Btreet.-

Noes; None. Absent; Councilman Walsh., uossag,e, and Healey'.

of I Street with Eighth Street, to and connection with the existing

The Weisshand matter was again brought up and afte discussion
was r e ferred to the Street GG`ommit`t8:e fo a formal report tbbbe
placed upon the minutes for re,c.ord.
The Mayor spoke of the cond -iton of the old fire hydrants.,,'
and said that, the valve stems are ru sted, and five ;have broken
during the pas';b_ year. The cost of repairing, the old hydrants r
and buying nevi ones was discussed,.

also the cost of new hydrants, and report back at the next meeting
