Guldner be and he ,is. hereby appointed Poundmaster of the City of Petaluma. Vote: Ayes; Councilman Walsh, Gossage, Fredericks, Kercheval, St'r:adling, Healey and Mayor Zartman. Noes: None. Curnmica:tion from the Petaluma Society for the prevention of cruelty t,o animals asking that the fine imposed and collected from John Gutermute be turned over to the society, they being, by law entitled to said fine. FILED. RESOLUTION NO.. 48:1. Introduced by Councilman H. H. Kercheval seconded by M. H. Fredericks. Be it resolved that the claim filed by the P.S.P.C.A. for the $10.00 fine now in the City Treasury on account of arrest and conviction of John- Gutermute for cruelty be and the same is hereby allowed. Vote: Ayes; Gouncilman Walsh, Gossage, Fredericks, Kercheval, .Stradl ing,' Healey and Mayor Zartman. Noes: None. . Absent, None. The Pacific Telephone & Telegraph C.o. , filed its statements of earnings and expenses of the Year 1012. Same was refered to the Finance Committee. NEW BUSINESS. RESOLUTION N0: 4.82. .Introduced by Councilman W. C. Stradling seconded by M. H. Fredericks. Be it resolved that the Building and' Grounds Committee be and t:h.ey are hereby authorized and directed to renew all insurance upon public buildings in this City as expiring. Vote: Ayes; Councilman Walsh,, Gos.sage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradl'ing, Healey and Ivlayor Zartman. Noes None. Absent., None. RESOLUTION.NO. 483. Introduced by Councilman Walsh seconded by W. C'. Stradling, Be it resolved that the Clerk be and he is hereby directed ®r to include in the election;proclomation at the insueing election proposit "ion submitting to the electors of the City of Petaluma the question as to Whether they desire that the Public Utilities doing business in said City under the cares and supervision of the Railroad Commission. Vote:- Ayes,• Councilman Walsh, Gosaage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradling., Healey and Mayor Zartman. Noes: None. Absent, none. RES'O'LUTION NO. 484.. Introduced by Councilman Stradling seconded by D. J. Healey. Be it resolved that the Mayor of the City of Petaluma, be and he: is hereby directed, authorized, and empowered to file,a complaint with the RAILROAD C01,1MISSION OF THE STATE I OF CALIF ORNIA, against the PETALU11A POWER AND WATER COMPANY because of its failure and of its refusal to furnish, provide and maintain for the .C'ITY Or' PETALUAA and the inhabitants thereof such service, instrumentalities, equipment and facilities, in the supplying of the Said City of Petaluma and the inhabitants thereof, with water for drinking and irr'igatiog purposea in sufficient quantities and of such nature as shall promote safety, health, comfort and,convenience of its patrons, THE CITY OF'PETALUMA and the inhabitagnts thereof. And that a certified copy of this resolution be attached to the complaint directed to be filed. Vote: Ayes: Councilman Walsh, G_ossage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradling, H&ley and Mayor Zartman, Noes;: None. Absent, none. RESOLUTION NO. 485. Introduced by Councilman `Stradling seconded by M. Walsh. Be it resolved that the City Engineer of the City of Petaluma be, and he is hereby ordered prepare plans and specifications for the const.r-ucti -on and improvement of the following named streets, ( saving and exdepting therefrom such curbing- guttering already done to the satisfaction of the Sreet Committee ) to:wit:. I Street from anutherly line of Third Street to the westerly line of Seventh Street; 345 Fourth Street, from the s °out.herl.y, line of A Street to the northerly -line of I Street. Kentucky Street, from the southerly line of A Street to the southerly line of Western Avenue, Galland Street, from the southerly line- o.f Kentucky Street to the eas.terly line o Central Avenue.. Second Street, from the southerly line of E Street to the north - erly line of H Street. G Street from the easterly line of 8th. Street to Petaluma River. The construction and improvement of all the above streets shall be made with the addition of oil macadam. Vote: Ayes: Councilman Walsh) Goe.sage Fredericks, Stradling, Healey. Noes: Councilman 'Kercheval 'and Mayor Zartman. Absent,, none. The Mayor called the attention of the Council to the fact that the experts report of the different appartmente of the - City. Government had not been read or published. He stated that, unless the C`oun;cil was not willing to have the same read or published he would not b in favor of imploying and expert annually. Councilman Walsh sugguested that the oil plants in East Petaluma be equipped so as to use fuel oil for heating instead of wood; the matter was reported as already under way and an oil burner has been order ADJOURNMENT.
