Be it resolved that the rpport of the Finance Committee bed be and the same is hereby adopted and that the City Clerk and Audito is directed to draw warrants in payment of same. Vote: Ayes: Coucilman, Walsh, Gos,sage, Fredericks, Kercheval, Stradling, Healey and Mayor Zartman. Noes: Yone: Absent None: PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS. A ccmmunic €a.tion was read from the War Dept. relative to the dumping rubbish into the Petaluma River iolation'�'` the federal law. This matter was referred to the Chf. of Police who was instructed to secure evidence against" violation +he law and - report the matter to the engineers officeX /in San Francisco. A Commuhi,cati.on was also received from the war dept. stating that they would re the statistica of Commerce I on Petaluma River for the year 1915. in connection with the above W.J.Hickey Vice. Pres. of the Chamber of Commerce was present and stated that he would arrange to compile the figures for the war dept. The citizens coni.mittee of fifteen appointed by the Counoil to examine into the condition and value of the plant of The. Petaluma Power and Water- submitted a resolution as adopted by th.em re that the Council engage the service of a competent engineer to examine the present plant of said Water Cp. Fil W.J.Horn in a communication asked permission of the Council to replace the old wooden curb infront of his residence 36 "Sixth Street" 'with a cement curb and gutter As , the Sutp of Streets had already granted permission his action was rfratified. R.W.Turner Agent for Mrs Parent=Seligsberger asked for a reduction- .her assessment of 1915 on account of -one automobile assessed im errow The claims was referred to the Finance Committee to act upon. 349 S A Petition was presented by property owners fronting upon Galland Street betwe -en Walnut and Howard Sts. asking e350 asking the Council to -order the above portion of.the Street to be macadamized, curbed and guttered. referred to the Street Commiiitt ee. A Petition from property owners on Park Ave from the northly line of Bodega Ave. to the southerly line of Oak • ,ti z,Park representing 470 front Ft. asked the Council to order t the Street graded, curbed, guttered, and macadamized. referred tothe Street Committee. = A Petition from Property owners on Park Ave. representing 783 ft, asked that the Council refuse to make any street improvements on the said Street. at the present time, as in their opinion said improvement in not necessary. referred to the Street Cor>imittee. W.A.Guldner recently appointed Pound Master. in a communication tendered his reO0n6,tion unless the City would pay a salary of $50.00 a month instead of fees. Filed. RESOLUTION NO. 487. Introducted by Councilman Healey Seconded by Councilman ' Stradling. Be it resolved that the resignation of W.A.Guldner as pound master be and the raze is hereby accepted. The Mayor formally notified t -ne Council of its powers to change the salaries of City officials f:o the next term stating th t it must b dcbne before the coming. election. - Thb Chairman of the Street Committee brought up the matter of the receint installing of a f,eul burner on the Street Oiling plant. and sugested that a perm "it -gG sedured from the fire commissioners. > Assessor Hopkins applied for .an abstract of real estate transfers for the past year to aid in the matter of making the assesarmnet. and that the block book be' corrected to date. taken under advisement.
