RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPOINTMENTS TO THE MAYORS' &
COUNCILMEMBERS' ASSOCIATION TO FILL VACANCIES ON THE BAY AREA
AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT, GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE, HIGHWAY &
TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT, METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION
COMMISSION, REMOTE ACCESS NETWORK (RAN) BOARD, ABAG REGIONAL
PLANNING COMMITTEE, NORTH BAY DIVISION OF LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA
CITIES, AND SONOMA COUNTY AGRICULTURAL PRESERVATION
& OPEN SPACE DISTRICT CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, vacancies have occurred on various Boards and Committees due to term
expirations or elected members leaving office; and
WHEREAS, the appointments will be considered by the City Selection Committee and
the Board of Directors at the Mayors' & Councilmembers' Association meeting on January 31,
2019; and
WHEREAS, letters of interest have been received and considered by the Petaluma City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council does hereby
recommend to the Mayors' & Councilmembers' Association for the following appointments:
• Bay Area Air Quality Management District Board, one position: Teresa Barrett,
Petaluma
• Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District, one position: Gina Belforte,
Rohnert Park
• Metropolitan Transportation District, one position: Jake Mackenzie, Rohnert Park
• Remote Access Network (RAN) Board, one position: Gina Belforte, Rohnert Park
• ABAG Regional Planning Committee, one position: Julie Combs, Santa Rosa
• North Bay Division, League of California Cities (alternate), one position: John Sawyer,
Santa Rosa
• Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation & Open Space District Citizens
• Advisory Committee, two positions: Leah Gold, Healdsburg and Neysa Hinton,
Sebastopol

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council authorizes Mayor
Teresa Barrett or her designee to vote on late nominations received at the Mayors' &
Councilmembers' meeting on January 31, 2019.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
