REPORT OFFICERS. The following'reports of officars presented and ordered filed.j Report of the Police Judge for the month of January. Healey. _ The City Engineer presented plans and specifications for the improvement of "G" Street from the northeast line of First Street to the southwest, bank of the Petaluma Creek, and from tlrel,p.,outhwept line of Third Straet the northeast line of Sixth Street, excepting the intersection of Fifth Streeto Same were read and adopted bythe follo*j resolution: RESOLUTION Rop 680 Introduced by Councilman Healey, seconded by Coq4cllman Stradling, Adopting the plans and specifications of "G" Street as submitted by the City Engineer. McCargar Chairman W.C. Stradling., and H. S.. Gassage, recommending the payment of claims to the amount of $1136.M. Report was adopted by the following resolution:- RES'OLUT.ION 90. 685. Absent;- Councilmen Vestal and Healey® A communication was received from the League of California Municipalities.asking that the Council take action on the following resolution relative to the "Home Rule in Taxation." R + NO. 6926 Recommending that the City Council of the City of Petaluma endorse the amendment for "Home Rule Taxation,` and recommending its adoption a the General Election in November 1914. RESOLUTION NO. 693. Introduced by Councilman Torr, seconded by Councilman Stra.dling. Directing the Street Superintendent to notify property owners on both sides of Harris Street, from Howard to Post, to construct thareon,.cement sidewalks - according, to ordinance governing same. Same;was adopted by five affirmative votes. Noes:: -None. Absent.:- Councilmen Vestal and Healey. 7 ti SF.J 501 RES01UTIQN OF INTENTION NO. 694 C.Se* Resolving; that it is the'intenti of the Council to order the following work and improvements to be made.in said City to- wit That "Second Street from the south line of "E Street to the north line of "H" Street; including the intersection -of "F" Street, to be graded to the subgrade along its entire width the roadway macadamized with crushed roar, guttered with concrete, and curbed with basalt. Also that bonds bearing interest at the rate of se 'Ven (7) per cent to be issued, and that a bond will issue to represent'each assessment,provided for in Section 22 of the "Improvement Act of 1911." RESOLUTION 110. 695. Introduced by Councilman Stradling., seconded by Councilman Torro Directing the City Attorney to notify the Water and Gas Compahi.es to lay mains along all streets now being improved, according to provisions of the ordinance. If same is not done within-ten days, the Council will proceed to have said work done under the law. Same was adopted by five affirmative votes.. Noes: - None. Absent : - Councilmen Vestal and Healey. J City Engineer Hubbard asked for, and was given further time in the matter of the plans for the new b'r dge,.across Thompson Creek on Fourth Street. a Formal complaint was again made against the condition of the sidewalks and the projecting stone steps at the Ravenscroft property on Stanley Street.., Tho�.;matter was laid over until the return of the.City Attorney. A complaint was made with reference to a sign in front of Po A.anunsen'H Wood and coal ;yard which was maintained in violation of the city ordinance. The St'reet'Superintendent was directed to notify the owners to remove same® The Mayor called attention to the fact that something should b.e done to restore the Sixth Street bridge which was wrecked by the big 'Storm and it'was decided to take the matter up at a special y caucus meeting to be held la.tero On the suggestion of the Mayor, the Council agreed to.meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month at eight o °clock, to hold private caucuses on. matters to be taken up on the following regular meetings.
