A• R: for the purpo.ae of the Memorial Day Observance,; and the'Aud tar is requested to draw warrant in favor of the Antietam Post, No. 63, G. A. R. for said °sum. Vote;- Ayes, six; Noes, None;, Absent, Mayor Horwege. ' Councilman Walsh up the condition of the C - ity- Dumps, condemning the present 'matter tof dumping rubbish, et,c:. He- also suggested having the building insured. The matter was referred to the Building and Ground Committee for Investigating reports. . The Chairman formally appointed the following Fourth of July Committee to act in co'njuncti,on with the committee from the Poultry meni' Charles.. H: Egan, Chairman'; H. E. Harding ;, Ed. D. 'Hedges; E. B. •Dykes; Miss. Catherine Denman,; Miss Ella: Cavanaugh; J. H. Gwinn.; and W. F. , Farrell., Councilman Torr suggested the appointment of a reliable man to -act as inspector of the concrete work . in the foundation of the new bridge.. Same will be taken up by Council later. Councilman McCargar brought up the matter of Autos lining the curbs and business sections' during Street Parades, and shutting off 'T the view - of' people on. the ;side walka. The- matter was referred to the Chief of Police who will regulate -th b matter in the future.. Street The matter of renting the C.ityAOiler�"to the County was discussed. '. Street Superintendent was directed. to install a new concrete water trough at lower Main - Street PlazP: He was also directed to have water piped into the Bridge Tender's House at the D.
